Whoa, this is bizarre. Trump's impeachment attorney van der Veen filed suit last year against Trump (as well as the USPS & postmaster general Louis DeJoy) alleging a deliberate slowdown of the mail system in Pennsylvania to disenfranchise mail-in voters. mtvlaw.com/wp-content/upl…
Another interesting case for van der Veen. In 2019, he represented a college student who allegedly attempted to obtain Trump's tax returns by filing a fake FAFSA in the name of one of a Trump family member. (h/t @purpscurd)

Michael Osterholm, who's now been appointed to Biden's COVID-19 team, was a consultant to the Bush administration's "investigation" into the 2001 anthrax attacks who helped downplay the possibility that the attacks were conducted by a government insider. ph.ucla.edu/epi/bioter/per… Image

Under Bloomberg, the NYPD formed such a close collaboration with the CIA that 4 active CIA officers were working in the PD. Despite the CIA's ostensible prohibition on domestic spying, one of these spies said there were "no limitations" on what he could do nytimes.com/2013/06/27/nyr…

The person who formed the NYPD-CIA relationship was David Cohen who'd previously been CIA station chief in Saudi Arabia, a post he was appointed to by John "Khobar Towers" Brennan. Cohen was head of the CIA's NYC office in the lead up to 9/11.

Apparently, Buttigieg actually traveled to both Iraq and Afghanistan while working for McKinsey. Interestingly, his stint at McKinsey (2007-2010) overlaps with his time as a Naval Intelligence officer. (2009-2017). abcnews.go.com/Politics/mckin…
McKinsey had a contract with a DOD org called the Task Force on Business and Stability Operations, which, per ABC, "had a primary objective to foster economic and job growth in the aftermath of -- and effectively during -- the conflicts there."
