#MPP #PeoplesParty whatever you want to call them have been on the offensive against people who have been trying to help them for months and is choosing to attempt to discredit these volunteers with zero evidence instead of facing their critics

So is it time to spill that 🍵 🫖 🤔 #PeoplesParty #MPP

In November a petition began circulating around the #MPP volunteer base that was addressing what people saw as problematic with the leadership of @PeoplesParty_US. A meeting was asked for and agreed to by the leadership of MPP and our concerns were brought to their attention

When the meeting began, leadership acted surprised and taken back by what was being brought to their attention, however later that same meeting @ThomasRoyko admitted that the national coordinators had actually already seen the document meaning it was all a big show.

At the conclusion of this meeting the coordinators asked to meet again in one weeks time for a response and follow up meeting. This meeting was delayed the next week at the instance of the coordinators to involve the regenerative culture group of MPP. Funny story about regen:

One of the biggest things that the petitioners wanted was for regenerative culture to be a full fledged working group in MPP after it had been demoted. If MPP hadn’t done this the petition group could have included them from the start. Back to the story...

So after getting Regen involved and waiting two weeks for this response meeting we finally had an agreed upon meeting. However, just a few hours before the start @nick_brana and his team requested that the meeting be moved to a zoom room that they would control recording in.

Now why is this a problem? Because of the few hundred volunteers who signed a good portion relied upon email for communication. It was an impossible ask to have us send a new email and hope everyone got it instead of the MPP leadership just going to the agreed upon room.

These were the things that we were facing as petitioners. Time and time again when we were trying to help we were talked down to, cursed out by members of and representatives of the MPP coordinators circle and given the run around. This lasted for months.

This entire time the petition group was very careful not to make public comments about the petition. Some claim that petitioners were jumping on new members to sign, but have no proof of this. It was voted on and agreed to to respect the coordinators wishes to not make it public.

It came to a head when a bad actor went into the #mpp slack and posted the petition and made slanderous accusations against the petitioners. This post was left up for days by #mpp leadership which led to the general group asking what was happening. At this point I got involved.

When this person was defending the use of racist language towards African American women in our group I stepped in and proceeded to have a couple hundred response long argument at 3 am with this person. I’ll give you one guess how @PeoplesParty_US responded...

If you guessed “banned you and let the racist stay” congratulations you are a winner!!! @PeoplesParty_US even gave him a platform on their next National call and allowed him to speak, while I was sent to the #mpp gulag and called a democratic infiltrator #PeoplesParty

I along with countless others, who had done nothing but try and help were cast out and then given the opportunity to beg for our spots back in @PeoplesParty_US
