I love the hashtag #silversqueeze. It awakened a young generation to Silver. But at the risk of drawing fire, is it time for a rebrand? @S_Mikhailovich called me out on this, quite fairly pushing for #realpricediscovery. My logic to follow
People joining #wallstreetsilver and the movement very quickly understand that this is about ending price suppression. In a shortsqueeze, forcing the shorts to buy higher is a temporary thing, before the shorts cover and price comes back down. Perhaps slightly higher.
For silver it's about multiple claims on the same asset. It's about overly leveraged positions. Perhaps a desire to keep the price down to make inflation seem under control. As a commodity it's clearly underpriced with more demand than supply. Low prices create this deficit.
For others, like myself, @RonPaul, @LawrenceLepard and many, many others, it's also about ending the belief that paper is money. And ending the ability of big banks to encourage debt and discourage saving. And the ability of governments to grow more powerful by printing.
Robert Kientz recently said in a panel discussion: "It’s not just a trade to them. It’s a movement". I could not have said it any better. It struck a cord in me deeply. "movement" is term I am hearing more and more in #wallstreet silver.
I talked to some college students that were in on GME, Tesla, Doge Coin, etc, etc. They KNOW they are playing with fire. They know valuations are not real. They know they are gambling on memes and the whole stock market is a casino. They want a movement they can believe in.
Silver IS that movement. Gold will be part of that movement. It's something that takes about 30 seconds to explain. It will spread like wildfire. Saying this is a squeeze helped bring on a new generation in. And in a sense it is. But it is so much more. It's a movement.
There is a very practical aspect to this too. Whatever we call this movement, the regulators and big banks will attack us. "Squeezing" a market infers manipulation, which this is the opposite of. This is the opposite of the Hunt Brothers. We are de-corning the market.
Any name we choose will be repeated by media. We need it to be a name that sends our message. A name they don't want to repeat. We need to control the narrative. We don't need to call it a squeeze for people to understand. Silver? Printing dollars. Oh! I get it.
I don't know how we should rebrand, but I feel like we must. Much like the Silver Surfers and Apes from WSB that started #wallstreetsilver rebranded into Silverbacks. I'm eager to here peoples thoughts. I have my thoughts, but want to see what others think.
Eager to hear thoughts from @TheLastDegree who kicked off #silversqueeze (I tried something similar, but WSB wouldn't let me post). Apologize for ambushing him while he sleeps (not sure he actually does sleep).
My comment on Reddit. One thing about this though, sounds like we are pushing to give out free silver. I doubt that's what you mean. How about #silverfreedom? Means the same thing, but can't be misconstrued.
Mispelled stampede. Maybe a good narrative: #silversqueeze has turned into the #silverstampede
The run on physical and growth of $PLSV back it up. It's not about short term price push, it's about grabbing silver.
I should add that I don't think #silversqueeze will go away. But to me it was the offer of a great trade to a new generation. For some it will remain just a great trade. But for many if not most, it has turned into a movement. That movement deserves a new name.

Crazy idea to help the #silversqueeze. Crowd sourced mint cycling! @TheLastDegree lent me 200KAG, I cycled to add 1800 Oz and sent him the 200 KAG back. Cycling requires enough $ to buy 200 KAG plus the costs of each cycle.
If you don’t have enough $ to mint cycle yourself, but a few people want to team up, they could send me KAG, I cycle and send the same amount of KAG back to each. I’d pay the cycle costs, but would earn mint yields and maybe KVT if any are left. @KinesisMonetary#silversqueeze
Would require people to trust me, but @TheLastDegree did. And I’m publicly known, so people know where to find me. 😃. Just a crazy idea, but I’m up for it.
