🔴 An end to lockdown is in sight now that over 15m people have received the #Covid19 vaccine in the UK.

The UK's vaccination program will now move on to those in their 60s and 50s as well as those with underlying conditions.

Local healthcare partnerships covering Somerset, Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire and Lancashire are among areas that have given first doses to over 90% of those aged 70 and over - the best completion rates in England.

The South West leads on first doses for over 80s - with almost 96% given their first jab between December 8 and February 7.

All other regions of England have given their first dose to more than nine in ten of the over 80s, with London a distinct outlier

But in terms of second jabs, London has now fully vaccinated the highest proportion of over 80s - at 13.9% - affording that smaller number of people greater protection.

The lowest is in the Midlands - at 9.2% - up 0.3 percentage points from the week prior

A fast pace of dose giving so far means the UK stands relatively strong in the international rankings of vaccinations.
