This is a video of a farmer leader in conversation with media journalist. Most of the contents or opinion are based on facts and are sensible.

"When we have had so many pay commissions for govt employees after independence, only one commission was appointed for farmers in the form of Swaminathan commission. Even his recommendations are not implemented.
There is unity among govt employees that is why it has happened."

"The pay commission has taken for their calculation, a minimum required for class Ⅳ employees as Rs 450 per family per day. But for MGNREGA Rs 32 is considered as expenses per family for farmers. It is said they can manage. This gap should be bridged."

"We also know that agricultural reforms are required. 70-year-old laws are to change. But it should be in strengthening and expanding APMC Mandis. We are asking for MSP, not MRP. Give us MSP support. In 2011 Modi demanded guarantee for MSP. Why he has taken a U-turn?"

"Farmer is the only molecule of the economy who purchases everything in retail and selling in wholesale. GST is paid for everything he buys for farming activity. But business people get the refund of GST, but farmers do not get a refund when he sells on wholesale."

"They say Mandi will not be closed. But in MP 32 Mandis is closed after implementation of the law."

If they say it is already giving it then make laws and implement C2 + 50%"

Most of the times these facts and opinions do not reach people. There is scope for collecting, consolidating such information from all sources, to present an overall analytical view which may bring clarity to all. This may help in mobilising support for farmers in all states.
