The President spoke in a video goodwill message to the Ehingbeti Lagos Economic Summit, themed “For a Greater Lagos: Setting the Tone for the Next Decade.”

President Buhari said his administration recognises Lagos as central to the economic fortunes of Nigeria and has in the last few years demonstrated commitment to supporting it unleash its full socio-economic potential.

On the investment plan to revamp the National Theatre, the President told the 8th Economic Summit that his government had granted approval for the temporary transfer of the iconic federal asset on the Lagos landscape, to the Bankers Committee,
... which will invest in upgrading it and developing it into a world-class creative hub.
 
President Buhari expressed confidence that enterprising young people in Lagos will be the biggest beneficiaries of the National Theatre, when fully upgraded into a world-class hub.

Commending the Lagos State Government @followlasg for its partnership and collaboration with @NigeriaGov on the human development programmes, President @MBuhari stressed the importance of understanding between national and subnational governments.

President @MBuhari has received reports of the brazen attack on Government Science College, Kagara, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, following which a yet to be ascertained number of staff and students have been abducted by gunmen.
Following these reports, the President has directed the Armed Forces @DefenceInfoNG and Police @PoliceNG to ensure immediate and safe return of all the captives.
The President has also dispatched to Minna, Niger State, a team of security chiefs to coordinate the rescue operation and meet with state officials, community leaders, as well as parents and staff of the College.

President @MBuhari has approved the establishment of a Public Private Partnership styled Infrastructure company named Infra-Co with an initial seed capital of N1 Trillion. It is envisaged that, over time, the entity will grow to N15 Trillion in assets and capital.

Infra-Co will be one of the premier infrastructure finance entities in Africa and will be wholly dedicated to Nigeria’s infrastructure development. The entity has been developed with concept designs from the National Economic Council (NEC) and the Central Bank of Nigeria @cenbank
The President had asked Vice President @ProfOsinbajo to chair a Steering Committee tasked with setting up the company.
 
The initial seed capital for the entity will come from @cenbank, @nsia_nigeria and the Africa Finance Corporation.
