2. We must not only boycott this Shawcross-led review, we must hold the line at the abolishment of the entire Prevent programme & linked counter-extremism (CE) initiatives - from root to branch it's discriminatory & serves a political agenda; it's not about public safety.
3. People w/ vested interests in Prevent & CE are usually given centre-stage during 'reviews' and put forward 'critique' which results in more power to practioners & its expansion.
4. This theatre is of mutual benefit to internal 'critics' & Govt. Internal 'critics' are usually Muslims, who in exchange for lending their visible Muslim identities, gain financially & gain prestige (MBEs, OBEs etc).
5. Critics w/o vested interest see Prevent for what it is (discriminatory, surveillance, propaganda etc) and are typically ignored. This list incl. the UN, teachers, health workers, unions, student bodies, people w/ lived experiences of Prevent etc.
