Happy to be back at @UHWI_JA for my 4th #ConvalescentPlasma donation; a full 6 months since I had COVID19 my antibody titer is still very high and I am still able to donate. 
Couple more pics of the Convalescent Plasma donation process.
For anyone wondering what they're seeing in this picture the machine on the left is a cardiac ultrasound machine, which was used to place the access line (the one higher up my arm, which uses a larger bore cannula). The machine on the right is the apheresis machine. 1/
Most people don't need to use the ultrasound machine but I do, because I have deep hard-to-find veins, a problem I inherited from my dad. So we use a deep vein that can only be located using the ultrasound machine. 2/
I have two IV lines connected, the "access" line which takes blood out, the one above my elbow, and the smaller "return" line on the back of my right hand. Blood comes out the access line, is spun in a centrifuge, plasma taken out, replaced with saline, and returned to me. 3/
With apheresis you don't feel like you've donated anything because all the fluid was replaced and the rest of your blood injected back into you. It's a painless process and quite interesting. Saves lives too! 4/4
The other equipment you see on my left arm is a blood pressure cuff and a pulse oximeter connected to the display screen on the wall and taking automated measurements throughout my donation. There was a nurse there writing down each measurement (part of the research study).
