"Parson addressed his priorities during a virtual legislative event with the Missouri Farm Bureau." The Farm Bureau is funded by Big Ag. Why didn't he have the event with small family farm owners?

His record on supporting pre-K-12 education is abysmal, so what does he mean by
"his focus on education"?

Parson, the federal gov't has given MO lots of grant money to help extend broadband. How much $ has come from the state treasury?
Why does the Agricultural Product Utilization Contributor Tax Credit continue to be extended when the MO Auditor determined in 2007 that the it would create a $13.5 million loss to the state? Has the program changed since then so taxpayer money isn't being wasted?

Just because the Missouri Farm Bureau lobbies for bills it doesn't mean that they actually benefit the state. When were honest cost-benefit analyses conducted on agricultural tax credits? In 2017, the state auditor stated "tax credit programs have
cost the state $5.4 billion over the past decade."
I want a governor that wants to increase renewable energy, not one that isn't concerned with the future lives and livelihood of our children and grandchildren. Image

@RepJasonSmith 's disinformation/misinformation campaign continues. "He [Rush Limbaugh] was able to cut through the spin and propaganda to provide clarity in a complicated world unlike anything we’ve ever seen."

Molly Ivens, back in 1995, wrote in a piece entitled "Lyin' Bully", "One of the things that concerns a lot of Americans lately is the increase in plain old nastiness in our political discussion. It comes from a number of sources, but Rush Limbaugh is a major carrier."

No surprise that the Russian influence campaign is similar in Australia & the U. S. It's worth watching "Putin’s Patriots: Russian money and influence in Australia" by the ABC

Mitch McConnell's buddy, Oleg Deripaska, is highlighted.
Let's not forget that McConnell enabled sanctions to be lifted from Deripaska's companies, EN+, Rusal, and EuroSibEnergo, even though a bipartisan group of Senators were against it.

"Forty-three Republicans refused [to convict]. Cowed by Trump’s zealous base, they cravenly choose power and privilege over responsibility and principle. They made it clear their minds were made up even before the trial began."

"In his opening remarks, Raskin quoted his late father, Marcus Raskin, the co-founder of the Institute for Policy Studies: 'Democracy needs a ground to stand upon. And that ground is the truth.' The senators knew the truth. The managers dramatically reminded them of it,
particularly in the detailed presentation by the impressive Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands)."

The Missouri House bills on the religious boarding schools - HB560 sponsored by Keri Ingle & HB557 sponsored by Rudy Veit - that were discussed in a hearing on 2/10/21 still bother me. I worked for the Circuit Clerk's office in Camdenton for about two years. + Image
We would receive files on adults who had sexually and/or physically abused children. Sometimes I couldn't even read the whole file because it made my stomach churn and I became enraged at an adult's reprehensible treatment of a child.
The fact that the #moleg has determined that they will not require these religious boarding schools to be licensed is appalling to me. You can read the witness statements that were submitted by those who were abused in these schools. house.mo.gov/billtracking/b…

@NewsHour had a segment last night on how WV decided not to go w/ the CVS/Walgreens plan proposed by the fed's. They decided to send vaccines to independent pharmacies bc it's a rural state & small pharmacies are located where many live. WV has ⬆️ % of ppl that hv been vaccinated
Here is an article that explains WV's rollout of vaccines. nationalinterest.org/blog/coronavir…
How urban areas are covered by the state vaccine rollout policy:
Doses for eligible older West Virginians are being delivered to primary care providers, community health centers, and local health departments.
