For context: not only was a law enforcement officer killed at the Capitol insurrection — and two others who were there took their lives shortly thereafter — but two FBI agents were murdered in Sunrise, Florida less than 3 weeks ago. cnn.com/2021/02/04/us/…

Last week, Opa-locka Police @ChiefJDobson was fired a day after Mayor @MatthewPigatt's cousin was pulled over and ticketed "for not wearing her seat belt, no proof of insurance or registration and because the tag on the silver Nissan she was driving was registered to a black BMW"
The firing also followed a report about the broken city's high crime rate: "Opa-locka police were not properly trained or evaluated, policies hadn’t been updated in 6 years and don’t meet basic standards...may point to a police organization beyond repair" miamiherald.com/news/local/com…
