Drone footage (7DayNews) from Mandalay shows a column of roughly 50 Burmese security force officers shooting into a crowd from the gates of Yadanarbon Shipyard. At 13s a person appears to be fatally shot (under the lamppost - 21.9624, 96.0559). At least 2 people were killed here.
The footage shows that security forces fired from at most 30m away from the person who appears to have been killed, while they were hiding behind some parked motorcycles and posing no threat to the officers. Along with live rounds, flash-bangs and (potentially) tear gas was used. Image
Photos from their reporters show Tatamadaw soliders holding locally made sniper rifles, AK-clones and shotguns.
@Silah_Report or @CalibreObscura know more about the guns than I do.
Other (graphic t/w) footage from the scene
shows another person shot in the head >250m away from the first shooting, outside a market. This and the fact that video filming the shooting was pointing South (away from the first site) suggests two firing sites Image
Looking at additional footage, police violence appears to be spread over 800m of road in Mandalay, with lethal force being used in at least two locations. Image

Hey look, this Assadist masquarading as a legitimate scholar (but really about as far from it as they come) is also dabbling in Xinjiang denialism by sharing grayzone blogposts.
Birds of a feather...
and I cant think of any more dispicable than this crowd.
There are really no words to describe how much dearth these crowds have for humanity, or any sense of morality and would rather spin a tale where mass-murdering dictators can do no wrong. It's insulting, it's gross, and it has ABSOLUTELY no place in the discourse.
I'm waiting for Landis to chime in with his 'I'm just sharing points of view' spiel he does whenever he endorses rivisionist and denialist posts, but that pseudo-innocence is no more legitimate than the nazi who claimed his recording nazi-audiobooks was just food for thought.

Chinese state media tonight released some footage from one of the clashes along the Galwan river that took place on June 15th. It's tricky to geolocate but my best idea (explained below) is that it shows Chinese forces SLIGHTY (<50m) beyond their interpretation of the LAC. ImageImage
You can see Indian forces walking along the South side of the valley in this footage before reaching a rock and crossing the river. I believe that rock is approximately here (in green): ImageImage

THREAD:
A new @ndtv report shows satellite imagery showing a village (2020扶贫村) constructed by China on the banks of the Tsari Chu (ndtv.com/india-news/chi…). It seems to be within Indian claimed territory, but before a Chinese installation that's been in place since before 2000
First, let's look at a timeline of the site. In December 2019, the site was a forested confluence of a stream and the Tsari Chu river, by April 2020 the area had been cleared, and some construction appears to have begun. By August, much of the construction seemed mostly finished.
The bigger issue with boundary disputes between China and India like this is not just that both sides have different claims, but they have different interpretations of eachother's claims. In Galwan/Pangong that was the main sticking point.

Can anyone explain this? Israel has already vaccinated nearly 30% of its population, yet infections are still rising at record rates? Infections beyond the US'.
I assume there's a delay between vaccination and protection, but even 14 days ago 15% had been vaccinated.
btw this isnt anything anti-vax or like "GOTCHYA DOCTORS" just curious about why we're not seeing an effect or is it stopping an even steeper climb so the effect is hidden or targetted(/racialised) vaccinations and different people getting infected?
A helpful suggestion:
Someone in DMs also mentioned that the mental safety-blanket of a coming vaccine is probably causing people to take more risks and be less mindful in how they might spread the disease.
Both of which make sense.

It's completely shameful for a special rapporteur at the UN to lend the legitimacy of her role to a website that routinely and almost exclusively presents absurd conspiracy theories and historical revisionism for dozens of places across the world, including Syria and Xinjiang.
Not only is it shameful, but it's completely inappropriate. Imagine a UN official for human trafficking conducting an 'Ask me anything' on 8kun, or a Qanon forum, & you have an idea of how much of an affront this is to genuine victims, or frankly, anyone interested in the truth.

This whole 'investigation' is hilarious. While they're talking, a satellite image showing ~1,500 detainees being forcibly transfered literally over their shoulder.
They also say that the BBC is wrong because that re-education camp has closed. Hence the transfer we see.
Here's a free tip to whichever propaganist intern is told to make the next debunking video:
Saying 'this particular concentration camp has closed therefore all the reports of concentration camps (that we just confirmed) are wrong' isn't the own that you think it is.
Their last effort to debunk showed drone video filmed 8km away from a prison as a way to disprove it. So at least this time they've put in more effort, even if it is equally unconvincing.
