Low-key obsessed with this idea now.

I've seen so much speculation recently about what kind of crier LWJ would be! And I don't know what I think!

But I am starting to think...he's a person who cries a lot more often than you might suppose?

Like, I kinda think he might be a classic Frustrated Crier?

If he's stressed, overwhelmed, or generally annoyed, I think he might just cry!

He'd hold it together in public. Then, in private, he'd bawl. Full-on ugly cry. Just to let those feelings out and regain his famous composure.

Probably nobody even knows about this except his brother? Everyone thinks LWJ simply doesn't cry, unless something truly tragic or horrendous has occurred.

But actually, LWJ cries on a fairly regular basis! He always has, ever since he was little!

Usually because it's just been a shitty day: spilled tea, unsightly ink splatters on the letter he was writing, some mud splashed on his robes, and people were being generally annoying.

Then, as he's undressing that evening, he accidentally catches his sleeve on something and tears it a little bit. And he just LOSES IT, and sobs.

'Cause he's frustrated, and he needs to vent!

I am enjoying the thought of WWX witnessing this for the first time!

I think he'd be extremely alarmed at first. Then he'd be infinitely endeared/amused once he realized what was happening.

I am enjoying the image of WWX peppering his husband's face with kisses. Threatening to beat up everything that made his husband cry.

Everything! Including that brush that so rudely splattered ink on Hanguang-Jun's pristine robes!

Who does that brush think it is! Doesn't it know it's messing the infamous Yiling Patriarch's beloved husband? He'll show that brush a thing or two!

I am enjoying the idea of WWX working so hard to tease a laugh out of LWJ. Just kissing him and teasing him until he stops crying. 🥺
