Warning: this is a 'yes, but' tweet: violence and vandalism is unacceptable, but I have to say that what irshad bhatti said was also highly insulting. A sad and hurtful comment that is made too often on national media. But then, if you hire a clown you should expect a circus.
Once again: this is not by any means condoning the attack on geo office, which is unacceptable and illegal and counterproductive. I condemn it. But I also call on national media to please avoid hurtful and degrading comments like this, which seem to be far too common now.
A lesser example of this is the use of 'saeen sarkar' as a pejorative comment. Have seen many use this and would ask them to please desist. The term saeen is a mark of respect and is not to be degraded like this.
And once again, for those late to the party, the gang that attacked geo today, and the 'journalist' that led them are thugs, pure and simple. But that does not change the frankly offensive nature of the comments.

Even better, nab asked broadsheet to go after sherpao. Broadsheet found $3.5 million of his, told nab. Govt used that to get sherpao to join patriots. Told broadsheet to remove name. Broadsheet saw their 20% vanish and sued after contract ended.
Before the judge, nab said 'we never really intended to go after sherpao even though WE added his name to the list. Judge denied this as he pointed out that this is LITERALLY Nab's job and ruled in favour of broadsheet. Basically they tried to act with broadsheet the way they do
With a local SHO. And then too, badly and in a highly amateurish way.

'The art of losing isn’t hard to master;

so many things seem filled with the intent

to be lost that their loss is no disaster.
Lose something every day. Accept the fluster

of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.

The art of losing isn’t hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster:

places, and names, and where it was you meant

to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

Thats right. And for why that is so, watch from third segment onwards
The end of every foreign war America has waged has resulted in an increase in recruitment for white supremacist and anti govt groups. Timothy mcveigh said his bombing of oklahoma was 'morally equivalent' to the US attack on Iraq.
One Vietnam veteran who shot suspected communists in the US said 'if its okay to kill commies in 'nam, why isn't it ok to kill commies at home.' Or something like that

Just heard the most horrific stories on @ZaraHatKay_Dawn from advocate Asiya Minur who has been fighting for rape victims in court for last 14 years. I feel cick just hearing the stories...of police saying 'Aap maaf kar dain, Allah hisaab lai ga' to judges leering at victims and
actually telling them in chambers that it is better to compromise. Of a little girl repeatedly raped by her close relative to the point that she lost her eye and bnroke her arm...and family made her forgive him so that relations would not be disturbed. And so much more.
The fact is, that these people then go back into society and rape again. Because they know they will not be punished. And our society enables this. Encourages it. THIS is what is known as Rape Culture.
