Semi Roll Over: On 02/22 at 3 10 PM, troopers were dispatched to the Ramp from WB I-94 to SB I-75, City of Detroit for a rolled over semi. Investigation revealed that a semi hauling 38 cows had lost control and overturned.
Troopers are waiting for another livestock trailer to arrive on scene that is responding from Albion.  Once the additional semi is on scene, they will cut the trailer open and begin to off load the livestock.
Some of the cows will need to be euthanized because of their injuries.  The freeway will be closed for several hours. We will update the status.
UPDATE: Workers continue to move the cows from the overturned semi into the new trailer. They are now cutting a second hole to get the rest. Once the live cows are moved they will be able to get the damaged trailer up right and towed from the scene. Looking at midnight so far.
