I played around with different hosting options for my WordPress website to measure performance

I compared ionos, siteground, and pantheon (a few of my recommended providers)

Here is what I found 👇
All of the options included a caching plugin, perfmatters, and a CDN (except for siteground, I will explain why)

On ionos and siteground I used W3 cache and on pantheon I used autoptimize because W3 doesn't work on pantheon
First up ionos -> my current provider

W3 cache, perfmatters and cloudflare installed

Loads pretty quickly (1.3s) but TTFB is slow Image
Siteground was up next

W3 cache, perfmatters, no CDN because I couldn't set up a CDN with a temporary domain

I tried sitegrounds optimizer with caching but W3 gave me better results

Decent results, faster TTFB but slower load time due to lack of CDN. Fully loaded in 1.6s Image
Pantheon

Autoptimize, perfmatters, and pantheon CDN

Fastest option with super fast TTFB and load times. Fully loaded in 0.7s 🤩 Image
I will also install this on AWS and Kinsta to compare and post the results in the next few days
Kinsta

Autoptimize, perfmatters, but no SSL (unable to set up with a temp domain)

The content is being served over HTTP1 which is hurting performance

Impressive results (1.4s fully loaded) and 0.15s TTFB

Could be tuned more for even better performance 🤩 Image
By the way, I am doing all these migrations using Duplicator Pro by @snapcreek

Works flawlessly every time and it has never let me down

Pantheon is the only exception, I used their built-in website migration tool
Another very impressive result from the nice folks at @TFWPHosting

They definitely are one of the fastest

LiteSpeed Cache, perfmatters, and CDN

Fully loaded in 0.9s and a 0.08s TTFB 🤩

These guys went above and beyond to set up my site and even tune my settings Image
Updated result from the awesome team at @TFWPHosting

Definitely the fastest with a blazing 0.7s load time 🔥

Give these guys a try if you are looking for a blazing fast WP host

These guys provide a white-glove service! Very impressive Image

Most users dislike pop-ups on websites, but they are very effective for driving action.

They are popular for gaining newsletter signups and doing sales promotions.

Here are my top tips for making less obtrusive and effective popups

👇
1⃣ Don't use more than 1 pop-up on a single page
2⃣ Don't immediately show the popup. This will slow down the website load times, and result in a poor user experience.

Wait until the user has scrolled through the page or has an exit intent (sale promos are great for the exit intent popup strategy).

These are my favorite free SEO tools 🔍

1⃣ Google Tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ads KW Planner)
2⃣ ahrefs and semrush
3⃣ Ubersuggest
4⃣ Yoast and Rank Math

A bit more about these and how they can help you 👇
1⃣ Google Tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ads KW Planner)

This is by far my favorite free toolset.

Google is the most popular search engine.

Getting your data right from the source is the most beneficial way to develop an SEO strategy.
2⃣ ahrefs and semrush (free versions)

These are the most powerful SEO tools on the market.

The best part is that there is a free version that can be used to analyze and audit a website.
