What is going on, @NBC?! This vile caricature of Hassidic Jews in @nbcnurses completely disregards the truth: Jewish law simply does not prohibit this. Doctors can break the Sabbath to save a person’s life, and food that is not kosher can be eaten in order to survive.
FACT: There is no prohibition in Jewish law on receiving a graft from another person, dead or alive.

#NursesNBC, you could have easily established this.
FACT: Jewish law makes very clear that we should take advantage of modern medicine to save human lives.

#NursesNBC, your Jewish characters are acting in contradiction with Jewish norms.
FACT: There is no prohibition in Jewish law against receiving a graft from a woman, an Arab, or any non-Jewish person. Saving lives is of paramount importance.

#NursesNBC, why do you resort to stereotypical, woefully innacurate depictions of insular Jews?
FACT: Hasidic Jews have repeatedly come under attack in the streets of Europe and America in recent years. Pernicious lies like this contribute to the 'othering' they endure and endangers them and the entire Jewish community.

Why on earth is @SkyNews' @Stone_SkyNews giving this blatantly agenda-driven "investigation" media coverage?

It set out to find Israel guilty - barely mentioning that an Israeli soldier was hurled into the air by the impact, or the that shocked soldiers acted in self-defense.
Forensic Architecture has conducted 69 investigations so far. 17 have involved Israel.

This isn't a lab investigating human rights failings - it's a political lobby under the guise of 'research' available for rent by extremist groups such as Al-Haq, an NGO with ties to the PFLP.
And of course that's before getting to the most basic failing of this so-called "investigation": the car visibly sped up as it approached the soldiers.

That's why the driver was shot. The soldiers understandably were shocked and had every reason to think they were under attack.

This is outrageous, @nbcsnl.

Promoting antisemitic myths isn't remotely funny.

Jewish, Muslim and Christian residents of Israel alike are eligible for vaccination, and over half a million Arab citizens of Israel have received at least one dose.

Shameful.
Jews have long faced false claims of spreading plague and only protecting their own since being blamed for the Black Death in Europe.

The result had grim short-term and long-term effects: Thousands were murdered, and the baseless claim entrenched Judeophobic views for centuries.
Data on antisemitism in Germany shows the long-term effects of hatred: Areas where Jews were often blamed for the Black Death during 1348–50 typically supported more violence against Jews 600 years later in the 1920s, and voted more for the Nazis.

Want to understand how pervasive media bias works? Read on.

Check out this awful headline from @AP. A gun was found on the scene, there are bullet casings and bullet holes on nearby walls.

This isn't simply an allegation. This was clearly was a gunman.
It would be bad enough if the Associated Press alone published this headline. But because @AP is a wire service, many other leading news outlets have republished this content, often verbatim.

Here's the article on the @WashingtonPost, for example.
And here's the same article, and same headline, on @YahooNews.

The media love a strong image, but exactly 20 years to the day after the brutal, barbaric lynching of two Israeli reserve soldiers, this one isn't being republished.

This is the important story the media failed to retell today.
20 years ago today, two Israeli reserve soldiers, Vadim Nurzhitz and Yossi Avrahami, took a wrong turn and ended up in Ramallah. The two reservists were detained by Palestinian Authority policemen and taken to a local police station.
Rumors quickly spread that Israeli undercover agents were in the building, and an angry crowd of over 1,000 Palestinians gathered outside the station calling for the death of the Israelis.

Before long, enraged rioters overcame the police and stormed the building.

Today marks 20 years since Tuvia Grossman, the bloodied "Palestinian," appeared all over the media, leading to the creation of HonestReporting.

On Sep 30, 2000, The @nytimes, @AP and others published a photo of a bloodied young man seen near a club-wielding Israeli policeman.
The caption read: “An Israeli policeman and a Palestinian on the Temple Mount.”

The pose suggested that the Israeli policeman was responsible for the injuries of the “Palestinian” man in the foreground.
In reality, the man was not a Palestinian Arab at all, but a Jewish American yeshiva student named Tuvia Grossman. Grossman had been pulled from a taxi in Jerusalem by an Arab mob and severely beaten.

With Israel eager to restrict the spread of Covid-19, it's no surprise that the government moved to impose restrictions, including on protests, so much of the media either published the news matter-of-factly, or didn't cover it at all.

And then there's the @Guardian response...
It's instructive to compare the @Guardian coverage to others, such as @AFP's.

Note how the AFP headline focuses on the news itself, not the reaction.
And here's the @AssociatedPress story, republished here in one of the many news outlets around the world to run the wire service's strory.

Again, the @AP headline tells the facts alone, without prefacing it with an anonymous opinion.
