We’re seeing trends like #modi_job_do or #modi_rojgar_do everyday recently. So here’s a thread about the demands of the students:
1. Hold exams for government jobs in a timely fashion and at regular intervals.
2. Declare results of said exams on time and have transparency and proper communication about the process. Not knowing why results are delayed or when they’ll declared decreases faith in integrity of system.
3. Even after result declaration in many cases joining is delayed beyond reasonable time. Which causes unnecessary hardship to the selected candidates.
4. Vacancies have been reduced year by year.
In some cases drastically.
Here’s an example of IBPS PO: 2012 - 22,000
2020 - 1,417
5. Came across this. Describes the situation perfectly. #modi_job_do
6. They are angry not only at the government but also at the mainstream Media which is totally ignoring the demands and protest. Not providing any coverage at all to such an imp issue!

Mohan Delkar, Lok Sabha MP from Dadra & Nagar Haveli committed suicide a few days back in a Mumbai Hotel.
The 15-page suicide note written in Gujarati allegedly names an ex-BJP MLA (current Administrator of UT of D&N) as one of those responsible for driving him to it.
He also wrote that he chose to commit suicide in Mumbai (as opposed to his home UT) because he knows he would get justice in Maharashtra.
Delkar was an advocate for Tribal rights and began his career as a Union leader in Silvassa.
Centre told Delhi HC that they oppose same-sex marriage.
Further added, "that the marriage in India is not just a matter between two individuals but “a solemn institution” between "a biological man and a biological woman”.
The PIL seeking the recognition of same-sex marriages under the Hindu Marriage Act has been filed by Abhijit Iyer Mitra and three others. The Court last year observed that the statute is gender neutral and the Centre must interpret the law in favour of citizens of India.

What is the Gujarat Model of ‘development’? Thread.
1. Gujarat spends less than 2% of its income on education (the norm is 5-6%) with the result that 45% workers in Gujarat are illiterate or studied up to the fifth standard with the quality of education very poor. (The Wire)
2. Public expenditure on health is 0.8% of the state income, well below the norm of 4-6%. Gujarat is decelerating very fast in almost all health indicators.
3. Forty-five percent children in the state are undernourished and the decline of maternal mortality rate has decelerated.
4. Close to 93-94% workers are in informal and traditional sectors with low incomes and low social security.
One of the reasons it attracts businesses is because of the low wage rates, which are comparable to that of Uttar Pradesh.
