In nuclear warfare, it’s that country state or entity who is able to survive an attack or a series of attacks with very little damage and which possesses the power to withhold its tremendous attack capability in face of severe provocation which will eventually win.
One does well to remember this basic doctrine. It is when someone has the capability to survive a first strike or series of strikes that they become known and called as a superpower.
Why does any country have a no first strike doctrine?
China and India have the no first use /strike doctrine.
UK, USA and France say that it will use the first strike BUT only if there is invasion/attack or invasion/attack of its supporting NATO states or thereabouts...
The odd ones out are Pakistan and Russia. Why are their doctrines different..., in Pakistan’s case, their weapons/supply chains etc run out in 4 days...
but what about Russia?

One of the reasons I spent a lot of money making Krishna: History or Myth in 2008 is because I understood the viewpoint of all the daters.
Would hv been easy for me to take Vartak’s date, but it’s totally wrong and Docu filmmakers have a duty to ensure correct date (3067BCE)
Having established that date in 2008/9 and having now defended the date on Twitter/FB/YT and various other channels with a modified 3067BCE theory which BTW is the only reproducible theory of Mahabharata, it appears like I hv to again spend time/effort/money on reinventing wheel.
BTW, the 1.8K BCE date for Mahabharata is totally wrong.
Buddha Nirvana date can NEVER be later than 1200BCE and we can confidently fix it to 1807BCE (astronomy and epigraphic)..

One small insight into spirituality and differences of opinion which people may find useful.
Small thread:
1. What you see and what you believe in and what you “experience “ are products of your :
Purva Punya x Intellectual power X Devotion X Guidance
2. Let’s go into each of these separately:
Purva Punya First:
How to judge? Jyotish wise look at the 5th house and 5th Lord from all three lagnas (Moon/Sun/Asc)

If 5th Lord in excellent position from all three, person may achieve with little or no effort....
3. Same thing, the 5th Lord is afflicted. Let’s say it’s Mercury for example and it’s placed with the Moon and conjunct. What will happen?
What’s the nature of the obstacles in sadhana?
A: Related to Moon (mind/women/emotion and greed/lust/envy etc)...

A few years ago, was discussing Sarvatobhadra chakra with a very knowledgeable person.
The idea that Tithi, Vaara, Naama akshara, Rashi and Janma Nakshatra should be assessed from point of view of benefic and malefic aspect was interesting. It’s obviously not that easy.
Then a few weeks back, quite a few people with Ashwini Nakshatra started posting of their difficulties... (friends with Dhanus lagna especially) interesting point is that if one checks from Jyestha Nakshatra (where Ketu transits) then one can check Jhora and see Vedha from there
Of course, it piqued my curiosity as then one can see that from Jyestha, Ashwini will come in the line of fire, but is it really so?
Interestingly people with Naama akshara “da” and “na” and “cha” were there in forefront (Ashwini Nakshatra +/- Dhanus lagna +\- cha/na/da akshar)

Q on which wood to be used for homa:
👇🏻Thread
Krishna Yajurveda Taittirīya Samhita mantrās describe in detail how to perform various fire rituals.

The 8th Anuvaka of the 4th prapathaka of the 3rd kanda of Krishna Yajus describes the samhidha to be used in homa.
The scripture further says that homa is to be performed with kindling of
naiyagrōdha, audumbara, aśvattha or plāksha trees.
Mandhuka trees also used.
Krishna Yajur Veda specifies the homa and the purpose. But here pacification.
Audumbar tree is of course sacred to Dattatreya. (One old Jyotishi from Pune used to say that people with 8th Venus strong may worship Dattatreya who is a great Yogi)...
Gooler I think is the common name fir this tree. But anyways samhidha for homa with Audumbara common in Pune.

Aavesha (Avishkara) works on similar principles but there the idea is voluntary giving away of one’s personality.
This is one of the precise reasons why I urge a great deal of caution and a lot of preparation before doing Ugra Devi/Devata sadhana. The situation which can manifest can create problems for those who have no idea of where that Devi is in Her permanent situation and where you are
Durga and Her various Avataras are amongst the most difficult to behold and withstand as She is effectively “One who Liberates” and “One who sits in a very high/difficult to see place” and She tries to take the sadhaka into that space if (that’s a big if) if She does manifest.

Some people group Pushya 1 (Duryodhan’s refusal of peace) and Pushya 2 (Balarama’s pilgrimage) together and say that it’s like that.

What’s the easiest way to prove them wrong? (Answer also destroys the thesis of half a dozen astronomers)
Can anyone answer?
Take your time! 2wks
Actually I think the answer destroys the thesis of nearly every astronomer except in 3067BCE:
For reference, check the blog and think of the answer. It’s self apparent.
I will wait a few weeks and listen to your answers to this question.
astronomyofindia.wordpress.com/2020/06/29/bal…
The basic problem most theories fall into is confuse Pushya 2 (Balarama starts pilgrimage) for Pushya 1 (Duryodhan’s rejection of peace)
That demolishes the theory because the war timeline is tied to Balarama’s pilgrimage and a mistake of 27 days will finish war timeline as well.
