I am extremely disappointed in the Administration’s decision to cease progress on Arizona’s Resolution Copper Project, which is set to grow jobs and is estimated to create a direct and indirect economic impact of more than $1 billion to Arizona’s economy every year. 1/
An effective & predictable regulatory environment is a key factor in Arizona’s booming economy. In AZ, we follow what works. Undoing lengthy, comprehensive, & already-completed federal environmental studies on a whim with the changing of federal administrations doesn’t work. 2/
This type of activity threatens an untold number of major projects in Arizona and around the country. I am calling on the @USDA to reissue these crucial documents in a timely manner and continue progress on this job-creating project. 3/

In America, we believe in the peaceful transition of power. It doesn't matter who you supported in the election — once the election is over, we put country before party. Never has it been more important than right now to observe these traditions for the whole world to see. 1/
I was honored to represent Arizona at the inauguration of President Trump in 2017, and I am honored to represent our state at the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies next week. President-elect Biden is assuming office at a critical time in our nation’s history, and I wish him well. 2/
I will not agree with him on everything and I certainly will not hesitate to share my views on the public policy issues that matter to Arizonans, but I believe President-elect Biden is a good man and wants to serve his country. 3/

I’ve been pretty outspoken about Arizona’s election system, and bragged about it quite a bit, including in the Oval Office. And for good reason. 1/
We’ve been doing early voting since 1992. Arizona didn’t explore or experiment this year. We didn’t cancel election day voting as some pushed for — we weren’t going to disenfranchise any voter. 2/
In Arizona, we have some of the strongest election laws in the country, laws that prioritize accountability and clearly lay out procedures for conducting, canvassing, and even contesting the results of an election. 3/

Arizona, and our nation, remain in a public health emergency. It’s been a long haul — but we need to redouble our efforts. Today, we’re announcing additional efforts to protect Arizonans and fight #COVID19 ⬇️ 1/
Our health care heroes deserve all the support we can give them. With cases spiking around the country, we’re dedicating an additional $25 million to support hospital staff: 2/
The holidays are a time to connect with those we care about most, but they can also present real risks of spreading #COVID19. @AZDHS has released new guidance to help all Arizonans celebrate safely this year.

Just met with directors for our Governor’s Council Meeting to discuss how state agencies are innovating during the pandemic. Across the state, agencies have adapted to continue serving Arizonans and save taxpayer dollars while prioritizing health and safety. (THREAD)
.@ArizonaDCS has prioritized maintaining vital in-person visits to carry out Arizona’s commitment to strengthen families and achieve permanency for kids in need. Since March, these efforts have led to more than 3,000 kids being reunified & more than 1,700 adoptions taking place.
More than 730 @AZNationalGuard members are currently deployed across the state responding to the pandemic, assisting public health efforts, protecting our communities and serving Arizonans.
