When Umar ibn Al-Khattab R.A, the second caliph, passed away, Aisha R.A gave permission for him to be buried next to his two companions. He was buried behind her father

@Hadithoftheday Aisha R.A had actually reserved that space for herself, for she wished to be buried next to her husband. However, the love that the Prophet ﷺ bore for Umar R.A caused her to honour Umar R.A by sacrificing her beloved burial ground for him.

@Hadithoftheday When Umar R.A was on his death bed, he asked his son Abdullah R.A to beg Aisha R.A's permission for his burial by the side of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr R.A. Aisha RA wept as she came to know that Umar R.A was on his deathbed. +

@Hadithoftheday Aisha R.A said "I had reserved this place for my own burial, but I give Umar R.A precedence over myself. Let him be buried there."

When Umar R.A was told of this, he said, "God bless Aisha. She has fulfilled my greatest wish. Now I can die in peace."

@Hadithoftheday Prophet ﷺ passed away in the room of Aisha R.A ,so he ﷺ was buried in that sacred chamber.
The two companions buried alongside Prophet ﷺ are:
1.Abu Bakr R.A
2.Umar R.A
When Abu Bakr passed away,he was buried next to the Prophet ﷺ
Umar R.A is buried next to his two companions

@Hadithoftheday Sacred Chamber refers to the Prophet ﷺ’s house, where he lived with his wife Aisha R.A. It is located in the southeastern section of the Prophet ﷺ’s Mosque.
When the Prophet ﷺ died in the room of Aisha R.A, his companions deliberated about where he ﷺ should be buried. +

@Hadithoftheday Abu Bakr Siddiq R.A said that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say “Prophets are buried where they died,” so he ﷺ was buried in the south of the Sacred Chamber.
The Sacred Chamber is also referred to as the "Prophetic Compartment".

@Hadithoftheday After the death of RasoolAllah ﷺ, Aisha R.A continued to live in the northern part of the chamber.
When her father,Abu Bakr R.A passed away, he was buried next to the Prophet ﷺ.Aisha R.A had no partition between her & the graves because they belonged to her husband & her father

@Hadithoftheday However, out of respect for Umar R.A after his demise, Aisha R.A put up a partition to separate the area where she lived from the graves because Umar R.A was not a Mahram for her.

@Hadithoftheday After Umar R.A was buried there, Aisha R.A said: "I do not longer enter the room but with my garment fastened because I was shy (of being in the presence) of Umar R.A."
