Hind Bint Utbah:
Hind was the wife of Abu Sufyan.
Her father and many members of her family were killed in Battle of Badr. So Hind's anger at muslims was intense and greatest. Wahshi martyred Hamza R.A on her orders.
Later on she accepted Islam.
Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib R.A was one of the finest huntsmen and greatest warrior of the Arabs. In the battle of Badr, he had killed many of the Qurayshi nobles. One of the Qurayshi nobles had a black slave called Wahshi from Abyssinia who could use the javelin with great skill.
Hind, the wife of Abu Sufyan, promised Wahshi freedom and his master Jubayr bin Mut’im also promised him the same as Hamza R.A had killed his uncle in Badr. Wahshi prowled amongst the fighters until he saw Hamza. He says, “I held my spear and balanced it well, then I aimed it.
It entered into his abdomen and went out the other side. I waited until he was dead, then I took my spear and went to wait in the camp. I had no quarrel with anyone. I killed him only to be set free.”
Wahshi later on became a Muslim and killed Musailimah, the imposter who claimed Prophethood after the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
After the battle, Hind and the women went to mutilate the corpses of the dead Muslims. They cut off noses and ears and made them into necklaces and anklets. She gouged out Hamza R.A's liver and bit into it; but she was unable to swallow the bite and spat it out.
Then Hind climbed a rock and "shrieked at the top of her voice":
We have paid you back for Badr...
Later on she softened towards Islam.
But her remorse kept her doubting whether she could even face Muhammad ﷺ.
So one day she veiled her face so that the Prophet ﷺ would not recognize her and took her shahaadah.
Hind bint utbah then accepted Islam and became devout muslimah.
When she accepted Islam, She said: “O Allah’s Messenger ﷺ! By Allah, there was no family on the surface of the earth, I like to see in degradation more than I did your family, but today there is no family on the surface of the earth whom I like to see honored more than yours.”
In the Battle of Yarmouk, the Muslims defeated the Eastern Roman Empire with the help of such courageous women who fought when men ran away.
Hind bint Utbah and Asma bint Abi Bakr R.A, were instrumental in the Battle of Yarmouk.
The Muslims were hugely outnumbered. Every time the men ran away, the women turned them back and fought, fearing that if they lost, the Romans would enslave them.
Due to such courageous women like Hind R.A and asma bint abi bakr R.A, men turned back & fought in battle of yarmouk
At one point, when arrows started raining down on Abu Sufyan & he tried to turn his horse away, Hind struck his horse in the face with a tent-peg and said: "Where do you think you're going, O Sakhr?
Hind said to her husband, Go back to battle and put effort into it until you compensate for having incited people in the past against Muhammad ﷺ. An arrow later hit Abu Sufyan in the eye and he became blind.
Abu sufyan had already lost one eye in the seige of taif before Yarmuk
Lessons:
Mistakes no matter how big, once realized don’t define us.Instead of wallowing in regrets,we should clarify our vision & mindset and use that energy to compensate the guilt into progression
Sit with those who have sinned & repented, for they have softest of hearts-Umar RA

"Say, Whoever is an enemy to "Gabriel' - it is [none but] he who has brought the Qur'an down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah, confirming that which was before it & as guidance and good tidings for the believers"
(Al-Baqara 2: Verse 97)
"Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and "Gabriel" and "Michael" - then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers."
(Al-Baqara 2: Verse 98)
When Umar ibn Al-Khattab R.A, the second caliph, passed away, Aisha R.A gave permission for him to be buried next to his two companions. He was buried behind her father
@Hadithoftheday Aisha R.A had actually reserved that space for herself, for she wished to be buried next to her husband. However, the love that the Prophet ﷺ bore for Umar R.A caused her to honour Umar R.A by sacrificing her beloved burial ground for him.
@Hadithoftheday When Umar R.A was on his death bed, he asked his son Abdullah R.A to beg Aisha R.A's permission for his burial by the side of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr R.A. Aisha RA wept as she came to know that Umar R.A was on his deathbed. +
@Hadithoftheday Salamun Alaykum.
Allah says in Qur'an:
"But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have been opened and its keepers say Salaamun ‘Alaykum (Peace be upon you)
(Qur'an : Az-Zumar 39: Verse 73)
@Hadithoftheday Greeting of the believers will continue to be Salaam even after they enter Paradise.
Allah says in Qur'an:
“Their greeting therein will be: Salaam (peace!)” -[Ibraaheem 14:23]
@Hadithoftheday Part of his Rib.
Allah created Adam, and from him He created his wife.
Allah says in Qur'an:
“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him, He created his wife, and from them both He created many men and women”
[al-Nisaa’ 4:1]
@Hadithoftheday In Ibn Abbas’ narrations, Adam A.S fell asleep in Paradise & when he woke, he found a woman, whom Allah had created from his rib, sitting beside his head.
It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. (Qur’an 7:189)
@Hadithoftheday Adam A.S was created from clay & Hawwa A.S (Eve) was created from the Rib of Adam A.S.
Allah says in Quran:
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. (Quran 15:28)
"And We gave him (Isa A.S) the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous."
(Qur'an. Al-Maaida 5: Verse 46)
@Hadithoftheday Allah mentions "Injeel" in another verse of Qur'an:
Allah says,
Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel - Qur'an ( 57:27)
@Hadithoftheday Allah sent down the Gospel to Isaa ibn Maryam A.S, but some distortions were introduced into it with the passage of time.+
@Hadithoftheday Fridays.
Narrated Abu Hurayrah R.A said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “No one of you should fast on Friday, unless he fasts (a day) before it or after it.” - ( Bukhari and Muslim)
@Hadithoftheday "Do not single out the day of Friday for fasting, unless that coincides with a fast that one habitually observes.” - (Muslim)
It is makrooh to single out Friday for fasting unless that happens to coincide with a fast that one habitually observes.
@Hadithoftheday Singling out Friday as a day for fasting and its night as a night to perform prayer is forbidden. However, fasting on Friday is permissible in two cases: 1. If one fasts a day before Friday or a day after it. 2. One may fast on a Friday if it coincides with his habitual fast
