A simple explanation that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge people with a hate crime is one thing. Offering apologetics for being ignorant of what a tiki torch stands for is quite another.

Antifa activists identified several prominent white supremacists in attendance.
There is no doubt in anyone’s mind, including the Chief of Police, what this rally was about and who was marching.

Unless you live in your mom’s basement with no wifi, it’s crystal clear this was a racist rally.
Four officers punched in the head is not a peaceful rally. In any stretch of the imagination. Even if it was only one attendee. Doesn’t matter. Four police officers were attacked.

Can’t imagine they and their families are happy about being devalued, & their injuries minimized.
Edmonton has a significant problem with local law enforcement. The Chief of Police is offering excuses and apologies for neo-Nazis, members of a banned domestic terrorist group, and minimizing the other white supremacist and Christian Nationalist groups that held 2 rallies.
The Edmonton Police Commission recently landed in their own hot water very recently. Being told taking the word of the Chief wasn’t acceptable under the circumstances of an internal sexual assault complaint.

edmontonjournal.com/news/local-new…
In the age of MeToo! we still have a Chief of Police and the Edmonton Police Commission completely disregarding a serious internal crime of sexual assault. It’s up to the Alberta Law Enforcement Review Board to publicly chastise them and direct them to reconsider the issue.
How the Police Commission came to the conclusion of rejecting an investigation and formal complaint be reopened is stunning in 2020/2021. How a Chief can represent the complainant as a vexatious woman even more so. The sexism in the statement is repugnant.
Vexatious is a particularly harsh word for a woman reporting sexual abuse.

It’s related to the word shrew and is used to describe an evil troublemaker who is female.

That’s the Edmonton Chief of Police describing a woman reporting sexual abuse as vexatious. That’s offensive!
And we wonder why women don’t report sexual abuse to the police?!

Who would have thought such archaic and backwards beliefs could be offered by a modern city’s Police Chief? And that the Police Commission would accept the term vexatious as a descriptor of the complainant?
So who is on the Police Commission? I have a hard time believing this diverse board would categorically accept the request to deny the sexual abuse case be reopened.
Especially since the current Chief of Police Dale McFee wasn’t the Chief when the original case was filed in 2018. McFee didn’t commence his position until February 2019. So the information presented by him was third hand information by the time it got to the Police Commission.
Don’t forget the recent discovery of communications lead with a family connection to anti mask rallies.
Needless to say, there is enough controversy to be concerned.

Something stinks in Edmonton law enforcement. It’s a little too rotten to ignore.

Citizens are NOT going to sit idly by while tiki torch wielding white supremacists and Christian Nationalists try to intimidate our community. Nor will citizens accept the tacit approval and apologetics of law enforcement.

This needs to be addressed imminently.

Real investigative journalist research exposing the decades long conspiracy to remove western democracy.

Please read this thread in entirety. 🚨🚨🚨

This is no theory, it’s a real conspiracy.

Canada figures prominently.
Stephen Harper has been linked to CNP (Council for National Policy) and operated the Canadian version (National Citizens Coalition) in the late 1990’s. ImageImageImageImage
What is happening globally is a consortium of far right operatives working to remove democracy as an option for the masses, limit suffrage property owners, exterminate liberalism & humanism as viable political ideologies and return to a Gilded Age inspired free market oligarchy.

This is what your rant about NDP not wanting to associate with Antifa inspires.

People who have a narrow view of the world feeling self righteous and lashing out at others because they don’t see the world in black and white. @IAMRockwell

Precisely what I was describing to you as the reason why ABNDP is choosing not to overtly support Antifa.

Because it has negative connotations about some of the people who purport to be Antifa.
Don’t think I didn’t notice you ducked out after this started.

Hostility to discourse to understand fascism & its dangers is required. Because people like this don’t help the cause against fascism.

It makes people unsure of the definition and appearance of fascism shut down.

Clear escalation from Saudi Arabia regarding Canadian sovereignty, targeting Canadian citizens of Saudi origin, and targeting their relatives and friends still in Saudi Arabia.

China is doing similar, though less outwardly violent, with Chinese diaspora.
One of the investigations made about General Michael Flynn was his willingness and behaviour to provide the location and ability for Turkey to remove a Turkish refugee Permanent Resident of US who had dared to criticize Erdogan.

Permission for foreign states to abduct citizens is a feature of far right complicity with & support of totalitarian autocrats it seems.

Canada is in a vulnerable position. Saudi’s and China’s incursions on Canadian citizens & landed immigrants is a threat to national security.

I’ve written about surveillance capitalism.

It’s now morphed into collecting personal data to use in a surveillance state. Like China does.

Privacy is quickly disappearing.

Surveillance of our every move is an infringement on our freedom. Not masks.
How would you like your physician to get a detailed report of the number of times you visited the gym, bought weed, ate a chocolate bar.

Or your bank having access to the same information when they consider your business loan or mortgage?
How about your voting record. What if you vote for progressive candidates in conservative ridings. And your kids post secondary application is denied?

Or you don’t get that promotion because you didn’t pay your phone bill on time, repeatedly?

Please read this thread.

Q’Anon is a military grade radicalization operation.

It’s working.
Politicians like Gallant haven’t gone crazy. They’re participating in the radicalization of the most vulnerable members of the voting public.

Military grade psyops tailored to radicalize emotionally vulnerable individuals and manipulate them to believe “Big Lie” conspiracies.
This is a matter of record. Not conjecture.

Behavioural sciences can and is used to manipulate the most vulnerable among us.

The question isn’t whether MPs like Gallant need to be removed. The question is, does CPC endorse this manipulative and unethical tactic?

Please read this thread. Then repeat after me.

Conservatives and a republicans have been overtaken by Neo Nazis and FASCISTS using Christian faith as a shield from scrutiny.

This isn’t funny. It’s not hyperbole.
It’s absolutely terrifying how easy it was for fascists to sneak in the back door using religion and Christian faith to go largely unnoticed.
It’s horrifically shocking that we are so far along in a fascist uprising before the public begins to sense something is wrong with the right side of the political spectrum.

It’s mortifying how quickly this behaviour is normalized by the majority.
