Brain is formed by life experiences & since an individual doesn't keep doing what doesn't work (learns through trial and error), evolution has reinforced the behavior, values that help us survive and reproduce. This behavior must be the behavior that was adaptive in environment

in which humans spent most of their evolutionary history. The qn then becomes: What was the operating environment in which human brain evolved?
Human evolution started about 5-7 mln yrs ago & today's "modern" human brain appeared on the scene some 150,000 to 200,000 Yrs ago

For most of that time our ancestors lived in primitive hunter-gatherer societies as agriculture evolved some 12-15000 years ago. meaning over 99% of human evolution journey has been as hunter-gatherer & what made our fore bearers survive and evolve?

Nature doesn't care who gets selected for survival. Evolution has no goal. Another way to describe natural selection is as a process of elimination. Certain individuals survive because they have structural, physiological, behavioral or other characteristics that prevent them..

..from being eliminated. Those that don't have these characteristics are eliminated. Adapting to changes increases the chance that individual will survive, reproduce, and pass along its characteristics to the next gen. Greater resistance to disease, run faster, or learn to Sh$$t

When organisms undergo selection, some characteristic may be carried along that wasn't selected. Even if some trait didn't provide an advantage it could still be carried along as long as it isn't harmful, i.e., doesn't negatively influence survival and reproduction...

Most of the times Neo- Martial Sikhs were busy licking the feet of people sitting on throne of Delhi.. Including the letters written to Aurangzeb + fighting on side of English in 1857.. plenty of Singh Sabhas licking feet of English, wanting to be seen s separate from Hindus

Sikhs were such a martial race that they were beaten by Bengal Army twice comprising of 50% Brahmins and Rajputs each from East UP.

Only Sikhs had an empire was under Maharaja Ranjit Singhji & he considered himself a Hindu. Neither before, nor after Sikhs empire. Were busy stabbing each other in back before and resorted to the same post his death.
Rajputs + brahmins taught them to fight & led them along..

If Sikhs were such martial Quam then how they could not protect Dileep Singh from taken away & made a X'tian? Thoo..Shame on the so called bravery if you can't protect and die for your honour. Singh Sabhas were busy licking feet of English instead of fighting to save Dileep singh

Modi ji can keep on giving out facts that we hv purchased Rs49000Cr worth of Daal in 5 yrs vs CONgress purchased 650cr in 5, even Punjab farmers know it, the fight is to stay in village, affording lifestyle guaranteed in law in name of MSP & not slugging in factories..

@nstomar ji, This outsized share of Punjab in FCI buying must be bought down to their share of produce..17% for wheat & 10 odd% for Rice.
Why should poor West Bengal, Karnataka, UP farmer fund the lifestyle of Punjab farmer?

Let me shock u. Avg landholding/household in Punjab is 5/6 acres against a national avg of 2.5acre, meaning double of national avg.
Now Shocking details, 45% of Pujab's rural population are landless, meaning the actual avg of landholding could be 10acres of landholding families

Kissaan as 'Annadata' is Bull manure only. I spent 3 days in the village around Diwali. Almost 80% of the families has a drunkard drinking no less than for Rs300/400/day.
The money is taken on loan from cooperative banks in name of seed/fertiliser, spent on drinking & Motorcycles

Then the farmer doesn't pay the banks, waits for the MLA/MP elections, loan gets wiped off and cycle starts again.
My neighbour was selling the free Rice he got under PDS at Rs10/kg to collector who sells it back at Rs28. imagine 15kg/every 15 days + Daal 2kg/15 days.

I called Vilage Pradhan and asked him is this a unique case? He clarified that almost 70% of the households are selling the PDS Rice/ Daal to shopkeepers.
