Guilty Gear characters, ranked by how much I would trust them to drive me to the airport: a thread
(I am not a GG superfan loremaster, so apologies if I get something wrong. This is just my read on the characters.)
if you tell Sol you have to go to the airport next month, he'll tell you to piss off and ask someone else.
if you tell Sol you have to go to the airport TONIGHT LAST MINUTE he'll sigh, and drive you there.
Ky will always find time to take you to the airport.
Leo will talk a lot, and stress you out by shouting at other cars, but then drive extremely slowly himself and you'll barely make it on time. But you will make it there!
If you think Millia would want to talk to you, you have a much higher opinion of yourself than I do. But I'll take a silent ride over an annoying one.
Zato is kinda undead these days, and these stats reflect that. I wouldn't trust Eddie to take the wheel, though.
I would pay to ride in a car and chat with Venom, even if I didn't have a plane to catch.
Slayer is a wildcard, I think it's just as likely you ask him for a ride and then he never shows up cuz he decided you're boring.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GET INTO A CAR WITH FAUST
JUST MISS YOUR FLIGHT
Assuming Potemkin can even fit into a car, I think he would do a great job getting you to the airport. But he drives slowly, so plan ahead with plenty of time.
The only reason Ram would drive you anywhere is if she was already going to get some burgers and the airport was on the way. Even so... there's much better options.
Word of warning for the dudes in the audience - you may be in Elphelt's strike zone. That could be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it. Also she'll probably crash your car.
Honestly I blast anime tunes in my car as well, but I'm more worried about getting Chipp to remember he has to pick you up, and then arriving safely.
Baiken's driving isn't hindered in the slightest by her missing arm and eye, let's get that straight. The problem is that she may attack the other vehicles on the road, or decide to cut through someone's lawn.
Honestly, as long as you chip in some gas money and remember to fuel up before you leave, May is an excellent choice to get you to the airport on time.
Like the reverse of Elphelt, ladies take note - Johnny may ask you to join his pirate crew. If you accept or not, that's up to you. You can consider it while he's Tokyo drifting through every intersection.
Look, Axl is a great guy. He really is. But I cannot fundamentally trust someone to drive me to the airport on time, when there's a chance he'll get spontaneously teleported through time. That kind of thing can really mess up your plans.
Could I-No drive you to the airport in time? She's a time witch, of course that's within her capabilities. Even if you already missed your flight.
Would I-No ever do anything to help you? Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha No
I didn't cover every single GG character, just the ones I'm most familiar with. (Looking forward to getting to know Nagoriyuki and Giovanna in the new game)
But here's my tier list for "who I trust to drive me to the airport"
And that's the end of the thread! But the question remains...
who would YOU ask to drive you to the airport? A safe choice like Ky? Or roll the dice on Elphelt?
here are the backgrounds if you want to use them as wallpapers btw
By popular request, I'll be continuing the thread!
She doesn't technically hold a license, but I trust Dizzy to drive me to the airport. The worst part is that Necro and Undine will try to backseat-driver the whole time, but Dizzy mostly ignores them.
Jack-O would offer a fun, if chaotic, ride. Somehow the best driver out of the Valentine sisters, which is admittedly not a high bar to clear.
Sin would love to help, but you'll need to feed him first. Also you'll have to give him directions the whole time. Also you better be a fan of one Marshall Mathers.
Jam is a good driver, and a friendly traveling companion. Hopefully she doesn't have to make too many deliveries along the way...
I can't think of a single reason why you'd expect Bedman to drive you to the airport, or why you would even want such a thing.
Answer is a busy man, and he barely has time for your crap, but he would probably indulge you anyway. He just wouldn't be friendly about it.
(don't text and drive, kids!)
I would trust Haehyun with my life. She only charges big money for her Tuning services, a simple lift to the airport would be no trouble at all. And you might get a free Ki reading out of it, too!
Raven doesn't hold any regard for his own life, what makes you think he cares about yours? Never get in this man's car.
There's always chance Anji might bail on you, but most likely he'll be there. Total bro, knows his way around the city like the back of his hand, top-tier pick for sure.
I mean... what did you expect!?
I wouldn't want to be in a car with Testament, but I don't think he's actively harmful these days.
Bridget is the only one on here thoughtful enough to offer YOU the ride before you even have to ask. I trust him explicitly.
Zappa might agree to give you a ride, but then he might get possessed and you can kiss that ride goodbye. Or maybe he'll come OUT of his fugue at the airport, with no clue how he got there. I don't like my odds, here.
Kliff means well, but can come on as gruff. He might tell you to just walk there yourself, as training. If he's feeling nice he'll drive you, but it will only be at Old Man Speed.
please don't put A.B.A. in a situation. Even if you can convince her to take you, she'll miss her turn and get lost and work herself up into an anxiety attack. Plus the key gets to ride shotgun, you're in the back seat.
Robo-Ky would agree to drive you to the airport, as a prank. He might really do it, but he might also drive you to a Spencer's Gifts and then blame it on a "GPS glitch".
I think Nagoriyuki would be willing to help you out, but remember that if you miss your flight, that's YOUR problem, not HIS. Allow plenty of travel time, and it'll be fine.
Giovanna doesn't mean to be rude, but that's how she comes off. And the giant green dog taking up the entire back seat is either a plus or a minus.
After revisiting some of my earlier rankings, I've arrived at this final tier list for Guilty Gear Characters, ranked by how much I would trust them to drive me to the airport.
I know there's some other characters I could have technically included, but that's a nice even block of a tier list so I'm calling it there.
Thanks for reading!

The people responsible for Moon came from a background of Super Mario RPG, Romancing SaGa, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Chrono Trigger.
They went on to split up and make Chibi-Robo, Chulip, Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, Contact, Little King's Story.
Somehow, this makes sense.
though not all of them worked on all of those previous games, the point is that collectively they came up through the industry in Square's heyday. They SAW the peak of the JRPG genre.
And then they left. And made their own games, all pointedly atypical RPGs.
so learning that Taro Kudou, one of the lead designers of Moon, has been writing/directing the Paper Mario games since Sticker Star... yeah. That explains a lot, actually.
Love-de-Lic was a studio formed by several ex-Square employees in the late 90s. They made Moon: Remix RPG Adventure in 1997, which just recently got released in English for the first time.
Let's look at some of the key personnel, and track their other works...
Kenichi Nishi did map planning for Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG before founding Love-de-Lic. Later, he would go on to direct Chibi Robo, and write Captain Rainbow.
Tarou Kudou was also involved with Super Mario RPG, but he also did Sound Design for Super Castlevania IV. After Love-de-Lic, he designed minigames in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, directed Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, and wrote/Directed the Paper Mario games since Sticker Star.
We need to talk about Yasushi Nirasawa, Sin'Ichi Hiromoto, and an obscure erotic monstergirl action figure line from the late 90s.
But first we need to talk about Return of the Jedi, Pokemon Colosseum, Kamen Rider, and a little manga called Hells Angels.
Let's dive in.
Yasushi Nirasawa was one of the most influential Japanese monster designers of the 90s. He did designs and sculptures in a Hobby Japan magazine column, "Creature Core". Besides his originals, he did sculptures based on Kamen Rider, Hellraiser, Phantom of the Paradise, etc.
quick aside - I'm pretty sure this design from 1992 inspired Yasuhiro Nightow's design for Legato Bluesummers in Trigun (1995).
Nightow was on the same wavelength, at any rate. Also a figure/sculpture enthusiast! But that's another thread.
