So, my friend, @thechrisbarron, and I are totally into this new thing of introducing new artists to y’all.
We have someone lined up for this Fri and he’s amazing.
19-years old. Unbelievable strings player.
Here he is *at 16* playing mando with Yonder Mtn Strings Band.

Stay tuned for more on this week’s guest and his show on Fri.
This past Friday, we had a blast introducing @JuliaBhatt. Y’all loved her as much as I did when I first heard her.
We’re working to schedule another Live with her soon...

Here is what you can do to support these fun shows where we get to see, meet and experience talented new artists:
1) Tune in 2) Spread the word that you’re coming to these, had fun, liked the artist, etc. 3) Follow the artists here and on IG 4) Buy their work, tip them

One of the things that has gotten me through it is live music.
Or, more accurately, sharing the joy of listening to live music with other people.

That has been an accidental blessing.
It started in December when someone DMed me to tell me their nephew was playing live on YouTube in and hour and expected only a handful of family members to show up.
I posted about it and 200 of us piled in.
It was a blast.

Even in the fractured dialogue of a fast-moving chat window, it felt like... normalcy... togetherness... community.
For an hour, it was just music and company and happy conversation.
It made me realize how much I miss those things. It was water to the thirsty.

I bought concert tickets today. It isn’t until September.
It’s a festival actually. Outdoors. Just off the boardwalk. A legendary venue. The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
And I may be soft as butterscotch pudding but I flat out welled up when the confirmation popped up.

Playing on the radio was “Everybody Lost Somebody” by the festival’s organizer: @jackantonoff and @bleachersmusic.
Pretty apt soundtrack for the moment.

Man, it has been a long year.
It may be months away but come September at least, I’m gonna be outdoors at the Jersey Shore catching a show at the famous home of the guy on the Bleachers’ latest single.
