In a new position paper B’Tselem concluded Israel was not a democracy and its actions met the bar of apartheid after considering “the accumulation of policies and laws that Israel devised to entrench its control over Palestinians”.independent.co.uk/news/world/mid…
B’Tselem found that across the entire area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, the Israeli regime “implements laws, practices and state violence designed to cement the supremacy of one group – Jews – over another – Palestinians”.
@AdalahEnglish, a Palestinian-run legal centre in Israel, backed B’Tselem’s statements. Its general director Dr. Hassan Jabareen, told The Independent “Israel has now changed the rules of the game, and we have no choice but to use the A-word.

Yesterday, at around 9 AM, Israeli soldiers came to the South Hebron Hills, bringing a bulldozer and piled up boulders and sandpiles to block access from Route 317 onto two roads that lead to the town of Yata and serve the community of She’b al-Batem.
The closure doubles journey times from the community to the regional center Yata. The forces also used boulders to block the turning from Route 317 onto a road leading to the southern entrance to the village of a-Samu’a, thereby blocking the access between
the communities of Khirbet a-Rafat and Khirbet Wadi al-‘Amayer, to the north of the road, and Khirbet al-Kharabah and Khirbet Ghuwein al-Fauqa, to the south.
