Atlantic Council, one of the top U.S. think tanks, took money from BURISMA despite warnings from an anti-corruption group that the Ukrainian energy company was using it to "clear up its reputation," emails show. dailycaller.com/2021/03/11/atl…
Atlantic Council's go-to defense is that it always maintains "intellectual independence" in its partnerships with donors.

More insight into how Atlantic Council operates.
Emails released from a lawsuit against Fusion GPS show that Atlantic Council official Anders Aslund courted the owners of Russia's Alfa Bank for donations.
Aslund wrote that he was planning to have dinner with Alfa co-owner Petr Aven and that he would "ask him what he wants" in exchange for financial sponsorship.
Aslund lamented that another Alfa owner had "been stingy" with his money.
