Back in 2014, I wrote "My Wife’s Personal Mutual Fund Outperforms the Pros"

It was then that the💡went off that we should open a long term account & buy FAANG & household blue-chip stocks, & hold.

2) The blog post discussed the companies for the products & services we used most as a family. If we were using them, most likely others were too.

In Peter Lynch fashion, we should own the stocks & hold them with little activity. So we did.

3) Many of you have asked what we own in this IRA portfolio.

Earlier this week, I shared the list in Richard's interview of me.

It's not a dividend portfolio but 14 of the 20 holdings do offer a yield - icing on the cake, from great companies.

Port yields ~ 1.5% of holdings.

4) I don't plan to actively cover the portfolio on Twitter because we don't make moves in it often, ~1x per year.

We started to accumulate most of these stocks after 2014

$AAPL $AMZN $COST $CVS $DIS $FB $GOOGL $HD $JNJ $JPM $MSFT $NFLX $PG $SBUX $T $TDOC $TGT $V $VZ $WMT

5) Other stocks have moved in and out of the portfolio but the changes have been minimal.

Stocks such as $PEP $XOM $TPR $CPRI $WFC

We always re-invest the dividends. The goal is to leave this portfolio to the kids.

6) L'Oréal is the other long term holding that we have, our largest, due to being company stock (my wife has worked there for 2 decades).

It trades on the French market, not the US markets.
