As we predicted, the fatalists within the Resistance have moved on from "Trump will never be arrested" to "Okay, looks like Trump will be arrested but he'll never be convicted."

These "all hope is lost" types don't belong in political activism. They belong in therapy.
These are the same fatalists who insisted Trump would magically cancel the election. Then they insisted he'd magically overturn the results in court. Then they insisted he'd just magically stay in office forever. They've been wrong at every single turn. They're wrong again.
These fatalists never even get it right when things do go wrong. They're so clinically addicted to making up unrealistic doomsday scenarios, they never see the realistic bad things that are coming. It's part of why they're so harmful.
These fatalists, despite having the same political views as you, are your ENEMY. They're arguably your most dangerous enemy. They spend all their time and effort trying to convince everyone on their own side to give up and stop fighting, because their broken mind wants to give up
They're not pragmatists. They're not pessimists. They're not being vigilant. They're mental cases. No matter what the facts or situation might be, they just yell "all hope is lost" at the top of their lungs, because they want to go down, and they want to take you down with them.
The most disturbing part is the sheer number of liberal pundits, on TV and on social media, who simply decide to pander to the doomsday fantasies of these broken fatalists. The fatalists are sick, and maybe can't help it. But these pundits know better. They just want clicks.
If you're a liberal pundit, and you're knowingly pandering to the doomsday paranoia of the most mentally broken people on the left, just because it makes for easy ratings and page views, then you're no better than the creeps on Fox News.

Trump looks downright ghastly in this latest photo – so much so that I’d have assumed it was photoshopped to make him look bad, if it hadn’t been posted by one of his own handlers. At this rate I’m afraid he’ll croak before we can put him on criminal trial. Image
They’ve stopped putting orange makeup on him, which suggests he’s too far gone cognitively to care about his appearance anymore – which is remarkable considering how much of a narcissist he is.
Much is being made of the bandage on his arm. Not sure it means anything. Old people bruise easily. But he has been photographed pretty frequently over the past year with bandages on his hands and arms in particular, which is a bit weird.

Much as I hate Joe Manchin, today is a reminder that he usually votes with us, while "moderate" Republicans like Lisa Murkowski nearly always vote against us. Manchin sucks, but it's infinitely better than having a Republican in his seat.
Here's the part most of the whiners are missing: Manchin almost never casts a *deciding* vote against the Democrats. Generally, he votes with the Republicans when it's not going to impact the outcome anyway, just so he can tell his red state that he votes both ways.
If you can't grasp this kind of nuance, and why a DECIDING vote against the Democrats matters but a non-deciding vote against the Democrats means nothing, then you're not cut out for politics. This isn't kindergarten. Nuance matters.

Trump's close allies run CPAC. They set it up to be one big Trump worship session. Yet even among CPAC attendees, only 55% say Trump is their first choice for 2024. The other 45% of CPAC attendees have already moved on from him. Trump's relevance is fading, even within his base.
If just 55% of CPAC attendees see Trump as their first choice now, that number will drop even lower as time goes on and other candidates gain more name recognition and momentum. It'll go even lower than that once Trump is inevitably arrested in New York, and so on.
This means the GOP has a real problem. It’s still focused on propping up Trump’s ghost, when so many voters – even on the Republican side of the fence – would rather move on to a new bullshitter instead.

You’d have to have a political IQ of zero to think that “Biden didn’t wave a magic wand and send MBS through a trap door this week” means that Biden isn’t doing anything about MBS. Effective solutions are sophisticated. This is the world political stage, not kindergarten.
When you look at how many liberal pundits are pushing this tripe, and you consider they can’t all be that clueless, you realize most of them are just dishonestly attacking Biden to try to score cheap points with the “left wants to eat itself” crowd. In other words they’re frauds.
And while Jake Tapper is better than the average CNN host, he’s completely in the wrong on this matter. The fact that Meghan McCain agrees with him should give him pause.

Neera Tanden spoke the ugly truth about the right and the fringe left. Both groups then falsely scandalized her, and the media turned it into a circus for ratings.

The most "controversial" thing to be these days is a mainstream liberal, even though it's what most Americans are.
I know, because the exact same thing happened to me, for the exact same reasons.
If you're on the fringe left, or anywhere on the right, the media treats you with kid gloves and normalizes you.

If you're a mainstream liberal, the right and the fringe left obsessively target you with lies, and the media then targets you for ratings. Happens every time.

If physically putting a Neera Tanden tweet in Lisa Murkowski's face for a reaction is what the mainstream media considers journalism, so be it. I just want to know why, in four years, mainstream media never once physically put a Trump tweet in the face of a Republican Senator.
In fact we all know the answer: the mainstream media is ten times harder on the left than it is on the right, because that's the only way to give people in the middle the impression that they're being equally hard on the left and right.
By stacking the deck to give the false impression that the left and right are equal, the mainstream media is implicitly biased in favor of the right. It's always been that way.

If you just say what's really going on, you're wrongly accused of being biased in favor of the left.
