Now that doesn’t mean you have to spend your whole day with your parents or do whatever they ask you to do everyday & then have losses in business or work because of the time you spend with them. No not at all. Let me explain that with a super practical example of my life.
Let me share: How I have been able to maintain a healthy relationship in my personal life even though I have been busy AF over these past 10 years from 2010 - 2020!!
When I say Personal Life, it doesn’t have to just be your girlfriend or boyfriend. It’s about your friends, parents, sisters, nephew or anyone who is in your personal life circle & not your professional life circle.
Here’s what I have done over these past few years:
One of the first things that I have done is finding any gaps where I have 5-10 min free time & then reserve them for time together with my friend or anyone from my personal life. It can be a phone call, hangout, coffee anything.
When I don't have time for a full day outing, or if the planned full day outing doesn’t go as planned, I instantly plan a mini-day trip. Example yesterday I was suppose to take my parents to a resort for 2 days but it didn’t happen due to a few reasons so we planned this:
I took them to a 5 star hotel & I clicked a few pictures of them after a long time via a DSLR & they were so happy to get clicked becoz after their marriage this is the first time they got clicked via a DSLR. After 33 years. Just imagine the level of happiness 😊
Followed by those clicks I took them for a dinner of their choice. Came home & watched #DanceDeewane3 with them. Post that they slept & I was working for my upcoming PREMIUM NEWSLETTER project which is launching next week. Then I slept at 2am.
Now usually I sleep at 10:30am or 11am but at times I completely change my sleeping cycles because when we were kids, our parents have changed their sleeping cycles for us. So why not we do that same thing for them whenever it’s needed? But also be practical.
Right now it’s a beautiful Sunday morning. We had our breakfast together & now my mom is doing some household work as usual which she loves doing, my dad is watching some YouTube videos on the TV & I am back to work trying to bring value to you people.
I am always balancing business & personal life but that is something which is based on my work life balance. My practical situations. Just my LIFE! And I use many more hacks like over communication with my best friends, family & personal members.
So here’s the moral of this #DPTT a.k.a. Digital Pratik’s Twitter Thread:
Instead of feeling sad about the time you don't have, try being happy about the time you do have.
Make the most of your time together with the ones you love as much as you can, whenever you can, without comparing it with anyone else.
And while doing all this remember, if you do this over a few years & then forever, you will be certified with the biggest ever PRACTICAL degree in the world which is:
Can I be completely honest with you? I don’t why, but I am liking Twitter Spaces way more than the Clubhouse app experience. I don’t know why; it could be the features, the UI, or maybe some other reasons.
Anyways, so I was having a discussion in @varunduggi ’s space about some tips and strategies about how beginners can effectively monetise their content. There were some really great insights from a dear friend of mine @VaibhavSisinty and a successful entrepreneur @viraj_sheth
