Most shootings happen with handguns, in many cases illegal handguns. Very few occur with AR-15’s. You’re 5x more likely to be killed by a knife than a rifle (that’s all rifles including AR-15’s). The problem isn’t guns, it’s culture + our failure to address gang violence in 🇺🇸.
My plan in Congress is to address the real issue at the root of the problem we face which isn’t guns but building up real men. We need to re-route funds from ineffective programs into programs that teach young men skills that get them out of gang life and build up men with honor.
Too many young men feel forgotten and lost. They have no leadership that show them another path. They turn to gang life for community and protection. We can fill these needs and change our country for a generation by building up courageous, integral, values driven men.
In the end a real push to fill these needs is a fiscally conservative solution too because it would save us so much money long term when it comes to savings we’d see from prison, the judicial system and welfare programs. A revolution of strong men can change America.
