Coconut coir & shell
is tough, perfect for giving ur utensils an all-natural clean. Put them in ur compost once their job is done & there's no guilt of adding to the trash in the landfills. They are 100% compostable & biodegradable.
Plastic❌
Name "Coir" comes from kayar, the Tamil & Malayalam word for cord or rope made frm coconut fibre.Ropes & cordage have been made from coconut fibre since ancient times. Indian navigators who sailed the seas to Malaya, Java, China, & the Persian Gulf centuries ago used coir.
Coconut fruit is used in its entirety. Coconut shell is used to craft products like bowls, vases, tea pots & toys.Other products include lamp stands encased in brass and smaller coconut shell articles. Hookahs & large vases are a combination of coconut shell & brass bindings.
Many friends here and hv sent DMs too asking the availability of these products.
I know u can find them on Amazon & Indianmart & many such platforms .
Kerala is a big hub for Coconut shell Coir industry. Cottage Emporiums are best bets to carry them.
