In 2014 @mcweekly's @maryrduan wrote about some of the Steve Bernal criminal overstepping that was taking place.

The 2020 rape convicted political consultant Fickas was coordinating kids in Salinas Union High School District and Alisal to get kids to do their dirty work.
2/

It was through these corrupt political operations, funded with Dark Money, coming from the usual suspects and working their way through to pay for child labor.

The person paying for this Op in part?

Plasha Will, @RepJimmyPanetta's paid consultant. Previously with Sam Farr.
3/

Plasha Will coordinated payments to this crew from Supervisor John Phillips (and others) campaign accounts.

Beyond @CA_FPPC violations that were never fully investigated - there are probably federal civil rights violations, this shit was pre-Trump but right outta
4/

the Trump and playbook.

Since 2015 there has been an ongoing @FBI inquiry that has morphed into various stages of ready.

That's a known and even the gossips at @MCoSheriff talk openly with each-other about this fact.

This was Mary Duan trying to pin all the dirty tricks
5/

on political consultants from outside the area - when they told Duan to ask Alejo, to do some journalism.

They refused and later home-town'd one of the consultants in a dispute going on to this day.

The County of Monterey is fronting the legal feels for three Bernal
6/

henchmen. One is Archie Warren and another is Mark Caldwell.

Mark Caldwell's wife once worked for the @mcweekly in the editor position @maryrduan now occupies.

(The Caldwell's have a soft spot for narcos and their associates - which is strange)
7/

But the town Weekly gets away with the appearance of "right side" politicos because of quips like:

@SheriffBernal is the Sarah Palin of Monterey County.

Duan has long ago deleted these tweets.

What you won't find is anything remotely investigative of Plasha Will. Why?
8/

Considering the Fickas bombshell that lots of marijuana cash is finding its way into local porticos pockets (the Sheriff has been mentioned in these discussion) the silence isn't just deafening - its complicity.
9/

How far ahead to the wealthy business class plan things? Well China plans 1,000 years out 😂

Big businessmen in the US, the really powerful men - marijuana is a multi-billion dollar market in Monterey County alone. Guess what helps smooth over corruption? A corrupt sheriff.
10/

Also 2014, certain people were very comfortable hanging out with each-other.

Left to Right

Scott Davis, deputy who lost his seat on the Salinas CC. Steve Bernal. Mike Richards, a former IA Cmdr. fired for dishonesty, runs for sheriff then given a job at the dog pound.

Imagine you ran for Board of Supervisors - it would be an uphill battle because the big money interests were backing your opponent @stevemcshane. Your campaign was - "I'm the real Democrat"

Then, within a month you are meeting with a criminally investigated PAC. That's
what @supervisoraskew has lowered herself to in meeting with this group. There is no benefit to Monterey County residents by meeting with this corrupt group.

Brian Finegan is a perjurer. He is a co-founder of SVLG. Don Chapin is a bully. Just ask Professor
Mercurio of Hartnell College who had to get tough with Chapin who tried to bully the Hartnell Professor, Chapin had hired as an expert witness.

The list of sleazy knows no limit.

... and @supervisoraskew just became one of them.

Her husband is an architect. Maybe she sees

"The violations here were isolated as the committee AND WAYLAND have not bad prior enforcement history"

@CA_FPPC - yes Wayland has had prior enforcement history. Stephen Collins Don Chapin & Scheid Wineries "loans" not disclosed $7,000 fine. Wayland was Collins' accountant. ImageImageImageImage

Wendy, "the Progressive" became Pandering Wendy to @SVLGroup (a PAC under local, state & federal investigation for corruption) as the newly elected official who went out of her way to bow to the powerful and ridiculously right-wing political action committee in MoCo. ImageImage
3/

Dave Drew, the narco-trafficker pardoned (wrongly) by @JerryBrownGov, has been a dues paying member since the group began.

In essence, @WendyRootAskew just pandered to a right wing PAC because @RepJimmyPanetta's amoral consultant Plasha Will asked her to. Image

This performance by @supervisoraskew is an embarrassment to the rule of law in Monterey County. Askew steps in it here.

With both feet.

"SVLG Event with Supervisor Wendy Root Askew"

This one room shanty on Garden Rd by the airport is where

is where the only remaining daily newspaper in Monterey County operates.

This is what hedge funds have done to your daily newspaper in community after community.

You know who doesn't like newspapers? Guys like Don Chapin and Bruce Taylor. Rich kids who inherited their $$
3/

What does Don Chapin get out of his involvement with "political leaders" in Monterey County?

Juicy public works jobs.

Right @HaffaAlan?

This is CA State Senator @CASenCaballero in 2001 when I confronted the @CityofSalinas regarding @SalinasPD promotional process that led to terrible promotions because the entire process was rigged & not on merit. They used this to promote people who looked the other way on

clearly criminal conduct within the City of Salinas - where Caballero was just starting out as a new Mayor.

Ultimately @Kelly_McMillin was a beneficiary of this rigged promotional process, becoming chief in 2012 and retiring to work in in #marijuana in 2016/17.

McMillin associated with known narco-traffickers as a police chief.

That was Anna Caballero's corrupt influence on Monterey County law enforcement. It wasn't the beginning and it isn't the end, but the unprecedented corruption experience in Monterey County - largely

The Salinas Valley Leadership Group is under federal & state investigation for bribery, and money laundering.

It's a PAC and @RepJimmyPanetta's consultant Plasha Will helps the good old boys run it.

@WendyRootAskew is a recently elected supervisor - they didn't support her.
2/

But @supervisoraskew, in a stunning display of poor judgement, chose to sit down with the good old boys for a post election "getting to know you" chat.

There is no bottom folks.

On the call were Ricky & Rolando Cabrera. Their brother murdered a single mom, in an execution

style killing. No one local cared because the woman was from the Fiji islands. Victor Cabrera then went on the run, fleeing to Guadalajara, only recently returned, tried and convicted.

Grade A community members under Don Chapin and Brian Finegan's group.

Congressman @RepJimmyPanetta,

It has been 609 days since two @FBIWFO agents came down to Monterey County and Santa Cruz county to ask about bribery and public corruption from at least two individuals connected to politics and marijuana.

One of those people was @AmyLarson25.
2/

Even your friends at the @mcweekly, owned by @bradleyzeve wrote about it

(once before killing any story connected to your problems)

While your father @LeonPanetta12 is the most powerful politician in California with worldwide credentials, and powerful friends - you're not.

Is there a reason why you have failed to address this serious threat to Democracy, as some have called it, including the DC team in San Luis Obispo working corruption and marijuana?

Considering all the Oakland players in Cannabis working and conducting business in
