As you see public support of #DreamAndPromise Act, we also have to recognize how the bill falls short and why relying on the criminal legal system to determine who “deserves” immigration relief is unacceptable. #NoMoreExclusions
The current #DreamAndPromise proposal ADDS more criminalization on top of the already existing criminalization bars. This is another layer of further harm that will inevitably result in people who have had contact with the criminal legal system to be excluded and targeted.
It should not be lost here that the criminalization bar were added by DEMOCRATS. This is unacceptable.
