One thing that's going to come from the changing landscape of media and the ability for large platform people to go independent, will be an erosion of the good ol boys network that's always held such control there. Platforms like Substack are under such attack right now both
because ideologues are freaking out that they're losing the griphold on information control the left has held for a long time, but also because the corporate fat cats don't won't to lose that power structure.
Once everything isnt filtered through these same people, then...
journalists shouldn't have to care anymore about whether executives may find something too sensitive; or have to walk on egg shells on Twitter to make sure some petulant brat with 400k followers doesn't get mad.
No, discourse shouldnt be curbed to please anyone's demands.
This pressure above is being used to control everything. Why are we allowing that? They can't force us to unless somehow they hold power. That's crumbling in media, but this logic applies to how we all lives our lives as well. It's liberating.
I can somewhat compare it to the legal industry, where I'd go to these Bar functions and it was one big hideous power hierarchy. You have a bunch of pompous asses at the top and layers of associates in bow ties below trying to give them hand jobs.
Like media, when you do your own thing in law, you don't have to subscribe to that bullshit. I mean, I'd like to get along w/ everyone and certain relationships are important, but I'm not gonna shine your shoes for it. The sense of liberation/power you get from that is immense.
If the elites in our country who control damn near all of our information and cultural channels are going to use this to further one set of ideology and suppress the rest, then fuck em! Let's create our own. Let's not grant them that power.
Of course...
Sure, this isn't something that applies across the board or a light switch you just flick on. But it likely applies in more places than you think.
It baffles me daily that a single sect in our country has obtained so much immense power and means of persuasion and contol.
Why? Why have we granted them this? Our best path moving forward is going to be forging ahead on our own; not giving a shit who is offended or what this Very Smart Person has to say about it. I don't want to live a life of coddling feelings. And now that's being used for control.
It's time for us all to start living more liberated. Do whatever the hell you want. Stop caring what all these idiots think. Theres way more rational people in this country than ideologues; many more working class than elite. We out number. We dont have to yield to this bullshit.
The end.

Try not to make each other the subject of jokes/comical jabs when you're around others. The energy/message it conveys is gloomy (even when there's no strong animosity behind it) and it makes your company uncomfortable.
I overheard that once and it impacted me. I now notice it in social settings. Couples who are broken do it constantly, wickedly. But it's incredible how prevalent it is when you're aware to look for it. I've grown to believe it is a barometer of some kind.
After having that light bulb turned on (which you can't turn off), I realized my wife and I did it quite frequently. Never felt harmful before; in fact, I never even noticed. But I now realize that description above is 100% accurate. It's a lose-lose on all sides, yet so common.
This is not some impact tweet, genuine question...
How do we devalue victimhood as a currency in America? For many, it's become THE most valuable to them. Across society, it's value has soared like Bitcoin.
How do we reverse this toxic snowball effect? Because we must.
I believe I know the answer in theory, but it is challenging in application because of the climate we're operating in.
Any thoughts? Like, what tangible steps/actions can be taken that would lead to victimhood losing value?
Curious your thoughts. I'll share mine later.
Below is an excellent description of the problem/the engine that is feeding itself.
If you support sexualization to 5yr old children like this, then I don't support you. It's that simple. And I don't give a damn what feelings it may hurt.
This is the mindset of evil and hatred brewing in America. And it is being pumped and pumped and pumped some more every hour of every day.
Not just by clowns like this and Talbert Swan, but look around at the usage of "white" and "whiteness" on the mainstream airwaves.
Case in point...
Check the below out. Mind you, this is a veteran sports reporter who has been with prominent outlets like SI, ESPN, and now USA Today. This is par for the course now, folks... and it's horrifying!
Insta-block. The same exact move every time you center reality in the face of these ideologues. Because not only are they mentally deranged, they're also complete cowards. They operate only under a tidal wave of paralyzing fear.
I'm here to pop that bubble! ⚔️🇺🇸
This was her gem, for those of you she'll surely block too if you engage....
