I use a lot of acronyms. I’m gonna explain what some of the acronyms mean and what services each provides to many not all #disabled and chronically ill Albertans.
PUF FUNDING - Program Unit Funding for young children (preschool) Early Intervention (EI).

FSCD - Family Support for Children w/ Disabilities
Provides funding/specialized services supports for families of children w/disabilities from birth until age 17 at midnight......
PDD - Persons w/ Developmental Disabilities
Provides funding to Organizations, Agencies for/with disabled people regardless of a family.
FSCD & PDD provide dollars to support disabled people to live a full inclusive life. At home, community, school, employment....
AISH - Alberta Income for Severely Handicapped
AISH is a monthly income. AISH is used to pay for rent, groceries, bills, transportation etc.
OPG - Office of the Public Guardian control the lives and decisions of disabled folks they often never meet......
So there is a few of the acronyms I use often. I hope it helps a bit. It can get confusing 😂 💜

@AlbertaParty It’s unfortunate Ableist folks in #Yyc Bow w/ #AbNDP couldn’t be bothered to apologize to deaf people they chose to excluded from their AGM. However it’s good to know one of the persons responsible for making deaf folks feel excluded is leaving. Let them blame me.
