OK - @Eaze / #Wirecard trial of US v. Weigard has hit closing arguments. Judge Rakoff said it should end by 3:45 today but maybe 4 pm. Inner City Press has covered trial including cite of #OneCoin Armenta and will live tweet, thread below patreon.com/posts/48806960
AUSA's closing argument is quoting testimony of cooperator Oliver Hargreaves (who cites both Jan Marsalek of Wirecard, and Gilbert Armenta of #OneCoin). Running through particular emails to and transactions with "EU Processing."
Now Weigand's lawyer as part of his closing is reading to the jury testimony of a witness about merchant banks in Europe, emphasizes that the witness never spoke to Ruben Weigand after that.
In @Eaze trial, defense closing just said that the Bank of America testimony showed that US banks are still allowing purchases of marijuana over the VISA and MasterCard networks, through Circle, it is the height of hypocrisy.
OK - @Eaze trial closing arguments just end. Lines from US Attorney's Office rebuttal: Hargreaves is corroborated, & then... "banks like Wells Fargo, they care." Really? Instructions and deliberations tomorrow. See InnerCityPress.com & patreon.com/posts/48806960

OK - in #NarcosHonduras trial of US v. Geovanny Fuentes, it's jury deliberation. The courtroom has been opened; the jury is in another room but will send out notes. Song: soundcloud.com/innercitypress… Inner City Press will live tweet - thread below.
Update of 10: 47 am: Something is afoot. The Marshals have brought Fuentes out of the holding cell. AUSAs on their way (Judge Castel's 8 minute rule). Unlike other days, Fuentes looks alert, looking all around. One might say "worried" but with mask, hard to tell.
OK - Judge Castel just came to the bench. "Here we have electronic exhibits. With paper exhibits, an index not as needed: the jury could thumb through. On Friday, the defense objected to exhibits going on. Now jury wants the exhibits." Why is defense objecting?
OK - #NarcosHonduras trial of US v. Geovanny Fuentes, replete with damning evidence about President Juan Orlando Hernandez, has gotten to closing arguments, with jury deliberations to being later today. Inner City Press will live tweet - thread below
Before the US begins its closing argument, Judge Castel first tells the lawyers that the glassed-in box could not be moved closer to the jury. They could go there - but would have to be masked. Also, he dismisses statute of limitations objections.
Judge Castel: The defense's argues that the defendant's son Mr. Guterres must have been a member of the conspiracy for his hearsay statements to be admissible. But Mr. [Leonel] Rivera provided evidence a jury could find Mr. Guterres was a part of the conspiracy.
They're back. Judge Castel tells jury to blame him for the delay, not any of the parties.
Now Fuentes' lawyer read a stipulation (agreement), that the DEA conducted at least 10 joint interviews of Javier and Leonel Rivera.
Fuentes' lawyer: The casa presidencial is in downtown Tegucipalpa, right? Have you been in downtown Tegucigalpa?
Agent Gonzalez: I've been to my hotel. And one restaurant.
OK - in #NarcosHonduras trial of US v. Fuentes-Ramirez, Day 6 of evidence continues with "Witness-1" being cross examined about the video he copies of JOH. Audio call-in line still cut. Inner City Press will live-tweet, thread below

Fuentes' lawyer: Do you remember telling the FBI that in 2019?
Witness-1: No. I came three times, four times, before staying.
Fuentes' lawyer: You're telling us both meetings with Juan Orlando Hernandez took place before the election, correct?
Witness-1: Yes.
Fuentes' lawyer: So at least one of the meetings took place before you left with the US, correct?
