As a long term @BJP4India supporter, I have observed BJPs transformation from a fighting force into a ruling/governing force. PM Modi’s role and leadership in this transformation needs no more elaboration as it is a widely known and accepted fact. #BJP
Alongside BJPs transformation, even PM Modi also transformed himself and that alone explains his seamless and successful transition from a state CM to Indian PM with appeal that transcends our geographical boundaries. As his stock went up worldwide so did India’s.
So what is that sets apart PM Modi form all his contemporaries across political spectrum. What is that explains his sheer hard-work & hunger for success through last 7 years in Delhi (amidst all that 24X7 scrutiny & hate that he generates in the mind space of his detractors)?
How can one remain so focused despite such intense frenzy and hate of his detractors; while carrying burden of huge expectations of his supporters- what is his guiding force? Is is just power or is it about seeing power as a mere tool to make a difference?
I saw a tweet by @abhijitmajumder of PM @narendramodi ‘s rally yesterday near Nandigram. That tweet had 4 pics - all natural and original shots..... as soon as I saw those pics, it struck a very diff chord with me...how can a man generate this much happiness n hope in one frame!
Here is a man who is doing a rally in d land that has been a hopeless case for BJP since independence; despite the fact that its first MP in post independence era and also its founder came from this state only- why it took BJP so long to make a dent in a state that was its own!
All thorough my life, one quote on leadership that has inspired me most is one by Napoleon Bonaparte- “a leader is a dealer in hope”.
Yes it is a fact that true leadership is about translating a vision or hope into a reality. PM @narendramodi ‘s success owes it all to this!
Hardwork & focus is not an achievement-they are necessary ingredients in any journey. Leadership is about sowing seeds of hope, to awaken senses of expectations amongst one’s followers. It is those every expectations that makes followers do what is expected from them....
To PM @narendramodi ‘s credit, not only is PM successful in generating hope amongst his supporters on continuous basis but he has also sustained it with delivery-one can debate on the quantum of delivery but what u can’t Qn is that he has sustained it with delivery.....
If I were to use an analogy here, I would say that PM @narendramodi ‘s real success came from the fact that he only focused his energy on working towards increasing the size of the pizza of hope and never cared for his pie- for he knows, bigger the size, bigger will be his pie!
And nothing explains this phenomena better than these pics of PM @narendramodi ‘s Nandigram rally yesterday, tweeted by @abhijitmajumder. What has changed over past 7 years are only faces and place- the smile and enthusiasm remains same, and pizza of hope keeps growing bigger!
And let me bring you back to where I started from - these two pictured tweets of the thread quoted below.
While every BJP leader is trying to imitate PM Modi’s success; they all forget a simple fact that they are his change agents-whose job is to deliver on hope he generates!
So long BJPs juggernaut is in the hands of PM @narendramodi , it will keep moving & winning new frontiers - holding/maintaining those frontiers is the responsibility of whom, he entrust this responsibility to. It’s same as before-story of a Chakravarthy Samrat & his ambassadors!
And that alone makes me wonder - why can’t his ambassadors learn this simple fact....truly, it is so easy to maintain this success.....only thing is to NOT break that cycle of hope and delivery.....as u deliver, more hope u generate -
Keep delivering, keep generating hope!
No better ex of a dealer in hope in present times as we have in PM @narendramodi -history will always remember him as the one who generated unimaginable hope in the minds of people & sustained it with delivery-quantum is immaterial. People reward u for trying honestly on hope!
I had visited Dhaka almost 18 years ago & what amazes me today is the giant leap of Bangladesh on all development parameters -more so since Sheikh Hasina took over in 2009 for her second term -a run that continues till date and is longest phase of stability in #Bangladesh50
While in Dhaka, I came face to face with disparity, that I have not seen anywhere till date. When I visited Dhaka, Khaleda Zia was at the helm of affairs of BD and (must have been) occupying the Gana Bhaban- official residence of BD PM... military checkpoints were all over!
World trade was undergoing massive changes and Bangladesh, as a nascent and upcoming centre of readymade garment trade, was facing a high degree of uncertainty. Every hotel we went to, I saw Chinese (u can identify them by the noise they make at their respective tables)...
Peruvian economist, Hernando De Soto, vide his book, The Mystery of Capital: Why Capitalism Triumphs in the West and Fails Everywhere Else, advocated need for resolving property rights issue to help unlock land value with overall objective of conveying informal Eco to formal one!
I was first exposed this book by @TheKunwarKhan - brilliant and simple concept which talked about freeing the land held by vast majority of those at the bottom, with an objective of unlocking land potential by cutting down on property disputes via property title reforms.
And PM @narendramodi did exactly that as mentioned here - this is exactly how he generates “hope” amongst his followers / those who don’t talk on Twitter or Facebook / but are biggest beneficiaries of his work.... hope and delivery cycle goes on and is powering Modi juggernaut
Karnataka Govt is sponsoring a chair at Oxford, Indian Govt also donates to them as per this report - besides we need to write to each one of them listed here ouem.co.uk/about-ouem/
Those petitions at @Change have no impact whatsoever - if we are really keen on fighting this battle, go to those folks who fund Oxford’s various academic activities- oiem.co.Uk has more details
Per some alleged background papers and @HMOIndia report used by Vohra panel & published by @Outlookindia , one Hawala racketeer MoolChand Shah paid @PawarSpeaks Rs 72 cr between Dec 79 and Oct 92. Thread here
So thick was MoolChand’s relationship with @PawarSpeaks that detention order of Mar 89- No. SPL 3(A)PSA 0189/107 under COFEPOSA was "revoked by then Maha Gov" on May 10, 1990, "without assigning any reason" under orders of Pawar confidante and then HM Arun Mehta- 2 cr was price!
The man whose detention order was revoked by Arun Mehta, then Maha HM under @PawarSpeaks was his man Friday & played crucial role in diffusing crises faced by then Pawar Gov- well documented here in this India Today report - indiatoday.in/magazine/speci…
Feb 14, 1996 edition of @Outlookindia published one story of Rajesh Joshi, titled “Pawar's Time Of Reckoning”
basing it on the secret papers from Vohra Committee and alleged that then Maharashtra politician and strongman @PawarSpeaks had links with hawala agents close to Dawood
The piece started with subheading-The Nexus- & read as under:
“after the 93 Bombay blasts,@HMOIndia collected considerable information on the links b/w Cong politicians & underworld. The details of this investigation were submitted to the Vohra Committee.
The excerpts of that piece began with a laundry list under the heading “Underworld Operator Political/Bureaucratic Patronage” and listed some prominent politicians of Maha and Guj- here was that list & it named against dons the name of netas/ note where @PawarSpeaks is!
