Comparable efficacy result across ethnicity and age. 85% efficacy in participants aged 65+. These were 4-week dose interval.

Want to emphasize again, this efficacy was achieved using a 4-week dosing interval. The 12-week dosing interval used in the UK doubles levels of neutralizing antibodies, further increasing protection, hence results could have had the potential to be higher.
I’ll say this much on the matter. I don’t personally feel this warranted an emergency statement overnight. I think that could have been handled in a more private manner. The changes from 79% to 76% didn’t warrant that when you consider how detrimental a hit to vaccine confidence
is, especially right now. What is important to know is this vaccine is safe, effective, easily distributed, and cost-effective. It can help several countries and it has proven itself in RW data time and time again. I would not hesitate to get it.
