Today's COVID vaccination update:

- Total shots given: 4,583,950
- Shots reported today: 190,074 (new record!)
- Doses given per 100 people: 12.1
- Doses available per 100 people: 16.2

Canada is now up to 4.6 million shots given. This is out of a total of 6.2M doses available. Over the past week, 1,401,238 doses have been delivered to provinces!

And so far 649k are fully vaccinated with two shots.

Canada's pace of vaccination:

Today's 190,074 doses today compares to an average of 145,375/day over the past week and 121,002/day the week prior.

- Pace req'd for 2 doses to 75% of Canadians by Sept 30, 2021: 277,397
- At current avg pace, we reach 75% by Mar 2022

Turning to just the share of people with 1 or more doses (a weaker threshold), at Canada's current pace we reach 25% by May, 50% by July, and 75% by September 2021. So for 'at least one' dose, we're now on track for the Sept goal.

Turning to individual provinces, here's doses administered over time and the latest share of deliveries used. SK leading with 82.8% of delivered doses administered while NS has administered 50.1%.

How does Canada compare to others? Currently, Canada ranks 12 out of 37 OECD countries in terms of the share of the population that is at least partially vaccinated. This is a large improvement in recent weeks.

Finally, some very large gains in the number of doses distributed recently! 1.4 million doses distributed in the past 7 days. Some great news as this allows provinces to ramp up pace of shots administered.

(For clarity, the 'finally' there meant the last tweet... not impatience about anything.)
