I am finishing up a post about a very long 1990 Playboy Magazine interview that is just insane. It probably would have cost Trump any election prior to 2016. Here are some of the less disastrous comments. ⬇️
3. What's more "America First": Donald Trump saying that China is stronger than us, that Russians are smarter than us, that democracy is bad, that martial law is good, or that it's time to start a nuclear war?
Between November 1989 and February 1990, Donald Trump was interviewed multiple times for a feature in Playboy Magazine. When the convo turned to Moscow, Trump blasted Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev for trying to bring democracy to the totalitarian USSR. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…
Gorbachev ended book banning, eliminated the secret police, gave workers the right to strike, opened elections to political parties, allowed media to criticize government, and let citizens own businesses for the first time in 60 years. Trump called it “extraordinary weakness.”
Trump pointed to Soviets' new right to protest working conditions as an example of Gorbachev’s "weakness." If Gorbachev was strong, Trump said, he would handle his people the way China handled Tiananmen Square: martial law and thousands of dead civilians. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…
Trump went on to say that top officials he met in Moscow in 1987 were “much tougher and smarter than our representatives.” And they wanted to meet him so badly that, at his request, his flight into the country was guided by two Russian fighter planes. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…
On a different topic, Trump said in the 1990 interview that he'd run for president as a Democrat even though he's a Republican.
During his first “official” presidential campaign in 2000, he ran as an independent on an agenda that he now smears as “far-left socialism.”
Trump also said that if he becomes president, he wouldn’t save American hostages because “in almost all cases, the hostages were told by our government not to be there.” The only exception to this would be military hostages. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…
“I like George Bush very much and support him and always will. But I disagree with him when he talks of a kinder, gentler America. I think if this country gets any kinder or gentler, it’s literally going to cease to exist.” - Donald J. Trump, 1990 trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…
Trump also really wanted a nuclear war in 1990, and he wanted to do it with Russia. Trump couldn't stand that everyone has nukes but we never see them in action.
"Everybody knows how destructive it will be, so nobody uses weapons. What bullshit.” - DJT trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…
Here's just one of a handful of times Trump said he wanted to work with Russia on nukes in the '80s. This was in 1984. trumpfile.org/donald-trump-s…
Trump told Playboy that the problem with celebrities or politicians beating or sexually assaulting women is that it gets reported and hurts the abuser. The question is specifically about Mike Tyson. #MeToo
On a lighter note, Trump will never be happy.
"Life is what you do while you’re waiting to die... Someone successful is never really happy, because dissatisfaction is what drives him. I’ve never met a successful person who wasn’t neurotic.”
Today in 1993, a New Jersey judge ordered Sands Casino to pay $8 million to settle a property dispute with Donald Trump and Bob Guccione. trumpfile.org/donald-trump-b…
In the 1980s, Trump blocked Guccione from selling his never-completed Atlantic City property. But in March of 1989, Trump bought the property from Guccione after the 'Penthouse' owner threatened to expose his affair with Marla Maples.
Sands Casino’s parent company sued both Trump and Guccione, alleging that they conspired to lock other investors out of the area so Trump could pursue a monopoly on Atlantic City gambling.

During the impeachment hearings, @RepGwenMoore identified three threats we faced by keeping Trump in office for two more weeks:
1) He could declassify state secrets 2) He could sell state secrets to our enemies 3) He could pardon the insurrectionists
"It was really obvious from the beginning that this was a coordinated plot, and the absence of any early intervention was real clear indication that there was support at very high levels of our administration... Maybe even Individual One." - @RepGwenMoore
Ron DeSantis has actively covered up Florida’s COVID-19 numbers and sent law enforcement after someone who didn't. Most recently, he banned critical race theory from public schools, opting for a whitewashed education curriculum.
Ted Cruz recently fled the country to escape a crisis in Texas, the state he represents, and then he blamed his daughter. He is a favorite of the Parler dark money donor family, the Mercers. Seems super fit to be president someday.
