Between November 1989 and February 1990, Donald Trump was interviewed multiple times for a feature in Playboy Magazine. When the convo turned to Moscow, Trump blasted Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev for trying to bring democracy to the totalitarian USSR. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…

Gorbachev ended book banning, eliminated the secret police, gave workers the right to strike, opened elections to political parties, allowed media to criticize government, and let citizens own businesses for the first time in 60 years. Trump called it “extraordinary weakness.”

Trump pointed to Soviets' new right to protest working conditions as an example of Gorbachev’s "weakness." If Gorbachev was strong, Trump said, he would handle his people the way China handled Tiananmen Square: martial law and thousands of dead civilians. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…

Trump went on to say that top officials he met in Moscow in 1987 were “much tougher and smarter than our representatives.” And they wanted to meet him so badly that, at his request, his flight into the country was guided by two Russian fighter planes. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…

On a different topic, Trump said in the 1990 interview that he'd run for president as a Democrat even though he's a Republican.

During his first “official” presidential campaign in 2000, he ran as an independent on an agenda that he now smears as “far-left socialism.”

Trump also said that if he becomes president, he wouldn’t save American hostages because “in almost all cases, the hostages were told by our government not to be there.” The only exception to this would be military hostages. trumpfile.org/trump-playboy-…

Trump also really wanted a nuclear war in 1990, and he wanted to do it with Russia. Trump couldn't stand that everyone has nukes but we never see them in action.

Trump told Playboy that the problem with celebrities or politicians beating or sexually assaulting women is that it gets reported and hurts the abuser. The question is specifically about Mike Tyson. #MeToo

On a lighter note, Trump will never be happy.
