On this Palm Sunday, I want to share this thread with you. An account of the death of Jesus as combined from all four gospels. It was originally in King James Version, but my dear friend @rezazia put it in today’s English.

The Jewish religious leaders objected to Pilate’s wording saying, “Don’t write the king of the Jews, but that he claimed to be the king of the Jews.” Pilate refused to change the wording on the sign, saying, “What I have written I have written.” ...

After the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took His clothes and tore them into four parts, each taking a part. However, His coat was seamless and would not tear, so they said to each other, “Let’s not tear up this coat, let’s gamble for it instead.” ...

Again they unknowingly were fulfilling Scripture written hundreds of years before which said, “They divided my clothes among them, and gambled for my coat.” After this, the soldiers sat down and watched Jesus on the cross. ...

Many other people were there, too, and watched, while others just passed by, taunting Him, shaking their heads, and saying, “You said you were able to demolish and rebuild the temple in three days. If you’re really the Son of God, save yourself and come down from that cross.”

The rulers, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders also mocked Him, saying to one another, “He saved others, but He can’t even save Himself. If He is really Christ the King of Israel, the chosen of God (the promised Messiah), let Him come down right now from that cross..

and save Himself so that we may see and believe Him. He trusted in God, now let God save Him—He said that He is the Son of God, so let’s see if God accepts Jesus as His Son.” The soldiers also made fun of him, offering Him vinegar to drink, saying, ...

Those who knew Jesus stood far away watching all of this. Among those who knew Him were many women, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, Salome the mother of Zebedee’s children, and many others who had followed Him from Galilee to Jerusalem. ...

Jesus’ mother and aunt stood close to the cross of Jesus, and a little later Mary Magdalene joined them there. When Jesus saw His mother and His dear follower (John) standing by her, He said, “Woman, look! From now on John will be your son!” And to John He said, ...
