Hannes Alfvén, Nobel laureate spawned the Big Bang cosmology of Einstein’s relativity theories. He supported the view of plasma cosmology - the most important forces in the universe are the complex geometries of rotating plasma vortices. 
In his view electromagnetism spanned all scales from whole galaxies to atoms i.e.our own galaxy and solar system are not electrically neutral, but rather electrically dynamics systems. As a child he was fascinated by the Northern Lights remarking that our ancestors called them
“The Spears of Odin”, which may not have been a joke at all, as the filaments & spikes in the sky could also be found in his lab, whenever a piece of vacuum equipment started to misbehave. They were tiny EM vortices that snake through a plasma, carrying an electrical current.
You can see them in the Veil and Orion nebulas. They are produced by the pinch effect - the currents of converging threads twine into a plasma rope.
The converging threads combine into a plasma rope; such magnetic fields and currents can concentrate energy & matter far faster and more effectively than gravity. A feedback effect of contracting mass generates a centrifugal force which fights the contraction. Galaxies or atoms
can blow a fuse sending about jets of electrons/ions out along the axis of spin. Just as this can be simulated in a lab, so it could be weaponised, at the human level, or the planetary level using the energy of an entire planetary system. A technically advanced though barbaric
civilisation could use this energy to explode a competing planet, which would shatter into an asteroid belt just where a planet mathematically ought to be.
Joseph P Farrell in his Giza Death Star trilogy speculates that the Great Pyramid at Giza was an harmonic oscillator that was coupled not only to Earth, the local solar system geometry and that of the Milky Way itself.
