About how what seems to be out of reach sometimes isn’t
Before to sell my house I had a dream: One of these shiny huge new tablet *that comes with a pencil* 🤩
Then I sold my house &knew for sure I didn’t have the money 😢
*but*
Hang on

I still had my faithful (second hand) iPad2 (yep. Still working. A little slow is all) and my brand new (second hand, only 7 year old) almost not broken phone
And suddenly, the miracle happened:
I realised there *are* pencils for not exactly brand new tablet and phones
Back to 🤩

(Yes I did spend a little less than €20).
And it works!
Which is a delight because, you know, big fingers on tiny screen ain’t that fun -I’m not that patient, it’s exhausting.
Basically those two drawings express how unfrustrated I felt.

(Side note: My kid is way more patient than I am, I wouldn’t even go near those tiny lines)
(Yeah, right, proud mama)

So (together with said kid) we inaugurated the magic tablet/phone pen with a drawing celebrating the Vendée Globe (he studied it in school, loved it, followed it everyday-one can say it unlockdowned its mind every time)
(You can make fun of me I dont care: He liked it)
And then..

And then the fun began.

Playing with Colors is FUN
I can’t afford canvas or paint or colourful good quality drawing own or pencils
All I have is black pens
But hey look we can play with colors!
We can draw DETAILS
On a fuc**ing phone!
(You can find it hideous btw I don’t care it’s FUN -ALL CAPS FUN

And well this is where we stopped... because it was LATE.
We had so much fun we lost track of time -which is the hint you’re really having fun.
So as a conclusion, hear me out:
When you lack the means you wish you had, don’t give up on your dreams.
Adapt them.
