Recently, 2 local activists have had to endure a brutal raid and kidnapping by police, meant to intimidate and suppress them for no other reason besides political persecution.
Many of the items taken from them, such as all their cameras, have no way to serve an ongoing investigation. They were clearly taken just to suppress their journalistic and photography work, which they use to document police brutality and hold police accountable.
Detectives also seized their legal firearm, and photographed political literature and signs saying things as simple as 'racists go home'. Detectives stole personal affects to punish activists for daring to oppose fascist police.
Police detained said activists for 8 hours. Throughout that time they were not allowed to make calls, were not given food, and were not given any answers as to what was happening.
SDPD failed to give one of the activists documentation of their detainment, strengthening the case that these individuals were kidnapped by SDPD.
The detectives also refused to how them the warrant, as it was a "sealed warrant;" however providing a redacted warrant is well within their capability, and SDPD still refused to provide a redacted version to one of the individuals.
Once the first person was released, SDPD kept their car keys and left them stranded in a 7-Eleven parking lot in the rain. After finally walking home, they found their homes ransacked with items displaced everywhere.
SDPD took all of their anarchist, mutual aid, anti-racism related books and zines and displayed them altogether next to protest signs, in order to send the message that this is all occurring because of the activist's political beliefs.
The violation they endured has created a great deal of trauma for them. The unjust raid has caused a negative impact on their jobs, finances, mental health and more. They are in need of some assistance to piece their life back together and receive legal help.
Please consider donating to their direct fund for the replacement of their lost items, as well as legal assistance.

San Diego Police Department raided an activist's house on 3/23 for what he said on social media and at local protests, and falsely claimed he was part of 'Antifa'. They sent him to a psychiatric hospital for an 'evaluation', and served a 'Gun Violence Restraining Order'. Image
Some of the reasons include him saying "The only way the cops will learn is when 11-99 occurs (police code for officer down)". They literally included him saying "Fuck The Police, and All Cops Are Bastards". He never threatened an officer, and no criminal charges have been filed. ImageImage
Another reason includes him screaming in a video, "Fuck this god damn fucking government" while at work and being "around" Border Patrol agents.

We encourage you to read the full report as it is literally the reason why ICE needs to be abolished. Here is just one of the many things the investigation found.

Saivaauli Aigaleseese Savaiinaea, known as “Coach SA”, has reportedly been arrested for felony child abuse for fighting kids in Imperial Beach yesterday.

He had previously been arrested in 2011 for assaulting another coach, but the DA declined to press charges.
Also, it seems like Saivaauli Aigaleseese Savaiinaea still continued to coach various youth sports in San Diego even after his arrest.

San Diego Police illegally detained and searched two different people yesterday in Pacific Beach. This person was providing mutual aid, and was initially cuffed w/o explanation. Near the end of this video you can hear them say he is detained for a "criminal investigation".
After putting him in the car to do whatever they're doing, the Sergeant tells people that he's under "investigation" but nothing further. These are the exact same tactics that gang units use.
They seriously just searched his stuff and let him go. This is a very serious violation of his rights, and police are using intimidation to surveil and harass people. All for someone helping out the unsheltered.
