South Africa Today:
1) City centres are decrepid; filthy and centres drug peddling.
2) Many undocumented immigrants dominate illicit trade in these areas
3) Black townships are defined by rotting and wasting public infrastructure. Raw sewage flows freely
4) Safe drinking water is a rare commodity. Water and sewage treatment plants are broken and malfunctioning. Yet mayors ride in German 4x4 official vehicles
5) Spaza shops have been taken over by Somalis and Pakistanis. The hub of SME skills is lost
6) The dysfunctional basic education system keeps on pouring under-educated young people into the swelling ranks of the unemployed.
7) The impact on social structure and stability is horrendous.
8) In the midst of all this the governing
ANC-Led Tripartite Alliance has not produced a single policy plan and strategy for mass low cost employment projects that may be supported with targeted wage subsidies
9) Our Industrial Policy strategy does not serve or cater for our type of unemployment
10) To cap our misery, the Covid-19 pandemic has delivered the final blow
11) And our Tax base has decreased significantly in past yr and our social welfare budget keeps on increasing. So are demands from the bloated and overpaid public servants.
Then you hear the EFF calling for removal of borders to take us to a situation reminiscent of the Africa before the 13th Century!!! All of this in the context of South Africa in the 21st Century.
This is mental and intellectual retardation and naivety.
South Africans want solutions to their lived experiences now. They don't want to hear about ideologies and intellectual farting. They have been waiting patiently since 1994. That's enough.
The ANC must wakeup or will be dumped.
Ramaphosa must show courage and diabuse the ANC of this NDR crap concept that has no meaning in a diverse country like SA. Because of it, policy making in this sclerotic alliance structure has been paralysed. The structure is not Fit for Purpose.

Today (Good Friday) I was in conversation with God as I struggled but preserved through my 6 Km walk through the Winelands WC (which is now our home).
I stated with conviction that social justice Shall be attained in our nascent democracy.
I asked for wisdom and guidance for our political leaders and NGOs as we tackle the current and complex issue and challenge of Land Reform as an important factor in the effort to achieve of social justice. We shall succeed in the end if we listen to advice.
I asked for blessings for the encouraging small steps like the equity restructuring at the famous Diemersfontein Winery where its highly skilled workers have concluded a 3yr arrangement to take total control via a special Workers Trust. We need to see more.

My reading of the context is that voter turnout will be lowest since 1994.
Key drivers are:
1. For the 1st time the impunity and scale of looting have been laid bare at Zondo Commission.
2. People blame high loss of jobs on the theft of public funds.
3. The PPE by scale has had the most negative impact on perceptions because of its vile nature.
4. No case against the big names is in progress.
5. All those served with dockets are still in trusted positions in Parly and party. Only the EC has been decisive
6. The decision by the ANC NEC for 1 month's notice for those awaiting trial will be accepted when it has been effected. This will be a deal breaker for confidence and some restoration of trust.
7. The J & J deal with Aspen is a lift for Ramaphosa

There is an intellectually barren and misguided view that one's excellence, in any field, should be viewed from the lense of skin colour, as exceptionalism, in relation to what is normal for the oppressor, because your nation was oppressed and excluded from
freedom and self-actualization. Your status as an equal member of the human society must 1st be referenced on skin colour. In this way, black children grow up with the knowledge that they should prove exceptionalism and not normal human endowment.
This is an ingrained attitude that Verwoerd wanted black people to embrace and assimilated as part of who they are. I'm very pained to see this dominating the mindset of young people in the 21st Century. It must be uprooted.

The closing session at the Zondo Commission was an absolute disgrace. The DCJ cannot just let it go. He must act.
On further reflection, I think Dali must apologise to the DVJ in person for soiling his platform.
It was the most disgraceful behaviour by a professional who is deemed successful in his sector. It is indefensible. He must bury his usual arrogance
be for once humble and apologise unconditionally. @AdvDali_Mpofu

We have either reached, or about to reach a situation where the government will not have the financial resources to stop and reverse the degree of pollution of our river systems. It has taken just under 30 yrs to oversee their degradation.
It will require almost 50 yrs to restore them and at an exorbitant price.
The current generations owe it to future generations to leave a better place for them. Under the ANC governance in many munics, we have systematically and with utmost selfish intent
misappropriated funds for maintenance of sewerage treatment plants across all munics under the ANC. This is essentially evil.
It is common site in poor communities to see raw sewage flowing in their unpaved roads. Kids play in these filthy situations.

In South Africa the ANC MO is to run down our public infrastructure through deliberate neglect and classical incompetence and then design reconstruction projects with the overriding purpose to provide tenders political leaders and their cronies.
We then call such intervention Reconstruction and Development Projects and seek FDI funds to implement them. It becomes an eggregious process of self-enrichment and looting. This has now become the raison de'tre of the ANC.
There are plenty of examples to cite in support of this statement. The Vaal river pollution (Emfuleni); Haartebeespoort dam (Sedibeng); etc.
Plse contribute more in order to develop a catalogue of neglect and destruction.
