5 Valuable Lessons I've Learnt In My Marketing Career

So Far

(In Simple Words)

A thread. #MarketingTwitter
#1. Marketing is simple.

👉You find something to market

👉You find the market to that something.

👉You find someone in the market who really needs that something.

It's people who make it complicated.

#2. Abide by these Marketing Principles

To climb your way up the marketing ladder, follow these marketing principles:

A. Make it about them, not you.✨
B. Solve their problems. ✨
C. Make their life easy. ✨
3. Find a market and stick to it (initially)

This is where it gets interesting.

Instead of going hoola-hoop in all markets, a marketer should focus on the product/service's strength.

💪Building a market over that strength
💪Pitching to that market
💪Listening to that market
Always remember:
4. Your buyer is where the problem is.

After finding the market, it's finding problems your product/service solves.

Genius marketers predict a potential problem & then market it before that problem kicks in.

But the most important of all lessons,

is #5.
#5. Empathy.

The modern marketer's biggest tool(along with data) is empathy.

When you relate and position yourself, just as a customer would, you become a part in their journey.

✅You find loopholes
✅You find solutions to those loopholes
✅You find your ideal buyer.
Summing it up:
1. Marketing is simple

2. Preach the three marketing principles, always.

3. Find a market, and stick to it (initially)

4. Your buyer is where the problem is.

5. Empathy is Your Biggest Tool
Do not listen to people, who make it sound complicated.

Marketing is easy, but demanding. If you're ready to dive in, there's nothing that can stop you.

#India needs challenges like these. More competitiveness, more the innovation. Research & development will be focused more upon if there is Indian competition and domination in the market.
Only thing to see is scalability & adaptability by the masses.
