Stumbled upon a very interesting fact yesterday.
Three great sons of India had gone to the Ramakrishna Math and Mission to take sanyas, the life of a monk. In all these cases the Math-Mission saw that these young boys were meant for a different kind of service to the nation
and gently refused or discouraged them. All three rose to dizzying heights. Here is their story.

The first was Subhas Chandra Bose. He went to the Varanasi Ashram. Swami Brahmanandaji gently refused him sanyas. He is our revered Netaji!

The second was a former professor...
of zoology from Varanasi,a young Maharashtrian man called Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar. In his case he succeeded in becoming a Brahmachari under Swami Akhandanandaji and stayed in the Sargachhi Ashram in Murshidabad doing famine relief work despite discouraging. After
Akhandanandaji left his earthly abode he also left the Mission and joined the RSS to become its second Sarsanghchalak. He nursed it and conceived of Vividh Sangathanas like the Bharatiya Jan Sangh. He is Param Pujaniya Guruji to all of us Swayamsevaks.

And the third?...
None other than Narendra Damodardas Modi! After leaving school he came to Swami Atmasthanandaji at the Ahmedabad Ashram to seek sanyas. He was sent to Belur Math, where the senior monks refused him because he was not yet a graduate. He then went to the Himalayas and...
wandered about like Sadhus. Later he came back and joined the RSS. The rest is history.

What an institution Swami Vivekananda founded that could attract such brilliant minds and moreover could discern that they were not meant to be monks but serve the people in other ways!...
Jai Shri Guru Maharaj ji ki Jai!

Jai Mahamayee ki Jai!

Jai Swamiji Maharaj ki Jai!

Quite often I am asked by newspersons, "Why is West Bengal so important to BJP; or, why does West Bengal need BJP"?
Here is the brief answer:
1. Since the death of Dr. B.C.Roy in July 1962 the state has had 5 years of stagnation under P.C.Sen, (1962-67), 5 years of
anarchy (1967-72) and 5 years of listless only-talk-no-work under S S Ray. Thereafter it has been governed by governments which were anarchic, povertarian, anti-prosperity, anti-industry and Luddite (people who oppose industries for fear that they will eat up the
jobs of manual labourers). Basically these were Leftist governments, by whatever name called. If any party intends to check its downward slide and rescue West Bengal from this morass (we believe BJP does) instead of simply being in power and doing politics, it has to take a

In 1889 on this day was born a child in Nagpur named Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. He grew up,came to Calcutta to study medicine and came in contact with Bengal revolutionaries, which made him think. He came to the conclusion that Hindus needed to organize themselves as HINDUS (and
not as Brahmins or Shudras,Bengalis or Biharis). So he founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with just 12 boys and became its Adi Sarsanghchalak aka Doctorji.
That little sapling that he planted grew and grew. In 1937 he was joined by a young Brahmachari from Ramakrishna
Mission,a disciple of Swami Akhandanandaji called Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar who was anointed the next Sarsanghchalak. He nursed that young plant through tumultuous times, including 3 ban orders till it became the biggest voluntary organization in the world. Vividh Sangathanas

One hears non-stop parroting of the words “Fascist BJP,Fascist RSS” by Comrades and Bengali aantels.
Can anyone explain to me without use of jargon what is the difference between Fascists and Communists? Neither gives a hoot about Human Rights and are guilty of the
most unspeakable abuses like Hitler’s Jewish Holocaust,Lenin’s Civil War crimes of 1917-22,Stalin’s 1937 purges,Mao’s Cultural Revolution (in fact the progenitor of ‘Fascismo’,Benito Mussolini,is not blamed particularly for such things); both rubbish multi-party democracy; both
venerate absolute and despotic dictatorship-the Fascists of Mussolini,Hitler,Franco; the Communists of Lenin,Stalin,Mao,Pol Pot! Neither permits any rival political thoughts or ideology.
The ONLY difference is that Fascists like Free Enterprise, the Communists don’t. Is that

Minus 15 C (5 F) – that’s the average year-round temperature at 20,000 feet above sea level, which is where the Siachen Glacier War of April of 1984 raged – the highest battlefield on the planet [1]. The brief conflict was fought between
long-time enemies India and Pakistan for control of a massive Himalayan ice field in the disputed Kashmir border region. The Indian army launched a pre-emptive assault on the rugged 2,500 sq. km (1,000 sq. mile) territory after its intelligence division suspected that
the Pakistanis might be planning their own attack up there. It turned out that both armies ordered their mountain equipment and cold weather gear from the same British supplier. When the Indian military learned of a huge purchase made by Islamabad, commanders quickly
