1/ I think you raise some good points here that the team is more capable of answering than I am.

From my conversations with them, the goal is to become fully decentralized over time. The reason why I'm willing to bet on @whatsyouryat is the following:
2/ They created a great user experience, which I've seen be a key component to success in projects in the space.

They aren't focused just on acquiring just crypto native users, which I think will be the key for real, long term success.
3/ The auction experience that was conducted on Friday, and I can't stress this enough, was AMAZING. I've participated in more than my fair share of auctions the past few months, and this was far and away the best. I think most of the other participants would agree.
4/ All these things put together, tell me they're innovating and thinking outside of the box. Maybe I'm wrong. I've been wrong plenty of times before.

But I've seen enough from the team to make me want to join them for the ride.

1/ A Few Thoughts on @whatsyouryat

If there's ONE thing every project should take away from 1Q21, it's that UX matters. The most explosive, and popular platforms of the last 90 days are @nbatopshot and @niftygateway. It's not even close.
2/ What do these projects do right? They give users a very similar experience to what they have today with Web2, while working towards Web3 architecture. Yeah they're centralized. Today. But is that the long term plan? Doubt it.
3/ How many people buying TS moments of their favorite player, or drops from their favorite artists, know what ethereum is? How many care? Why do you think that person will want a .eth after their name?

1/ Scale

This past week, a TradFi person asked me, "How do I own 25% of the next Graph?" I told him, "You don't. That's not what the blockchain ethos is about. If you owned 25% of some protocol, it would most likely be worthless." But this got me thinking.
2/ For the last 2 decades, one of the most repeated buzzwords by founders and management teams has been the word SCALE. And rightfully so. People want to maximize efficiency. The faster you get to scale, the more profitable you will be.
3/ But people will generally focus on scale towards the high end, not necessarily towards the low end. And rightfully so. If your objective is to maximize profit, you want to be as efficient as possible. That makes sense.

1/ When people ask me, "What are the possibilities with NFT's?", I tell them it allows people to be as creative as they want to be.

The next evolution isn't just for art, it's for anybody that is creative enough. Let's take a look at some that popped up on my feed recently:
2/ Subscription to a weekly magazine with commemorative covers:

1/ The Metaverse Isn't Coming...

It's already here.
2/ When people think of the metaverse, they think of places like @decentraland and @cryptovoxels, and think it's going to be years before we're living in the metaverse. But that couldn't be farther from the truth.
3/ It wasn't until I started becoming active in @discord, that I realized just how "real" these communities were. First it was through people's avatars. Their appearance towards the community.

1/ The beeple Christies Auction and how to be part of history.

@beeple made history in Dec when he did $4 million in sales over a weekend. The open editions have been freely trading since then, but all of the 1 of 1's, were bought by @MetaKovan.
2/ He then packaged all the 1/1's into B20, where owners of the token would own a piece of the 20 originals, as well as the museum they are located in in the Metaverse. More info on that here: b20.whalestreet.xyz
3/ Yesterday, it was announced that for the FIRST TIME EVER, @ChristiesInc will auction a fully digital, NFT-backed piece of art. It will be a 1/1 edition. Immediately following this news, people started delisting open editions, and raising prices way higher.

1/ A Thread about NFT Patronage

About 2 weeks ago, I noticed @TwerkyPepe commenting on my posts, and posting his funny twerky gif's. Each time I saw one of these variations I would laugh, as I found them to be pretty funny.
2/ So I decided to reach out to him, and asked him if he wanted to collab and do one of my ape. He accepted and began to make a version for our drop together. When it came time for the drop, I tweeted about it a few hours before.
3/ He immediately sold out of all his old drops that hadn't been sold up until that point. About $7-8K in sales in about 20 mins. BEFORE our collab even went live. He wrote to me to tell him that I changed his life. I felt good that I was able to help him out. It gets better.
