I have been so fucking bone-tired-exhausted, the stay in bed all day kind of exhaustion. As I explained here: I don't have covid, I have perimenopause.

I have gone weeks with feeling good, no waking up with crushing anxiety, no exhaustion and then these past few days I feel like I'm being pushed through some kind of trial by hormonal fire. I'm telling you all this because we need to say and hear it more.
So if you're perimenopausal and you're in a fuck this shit phase, I want you to know that I know.

I feel like I'm going through the Twelve Tasks of the Menopause or something so that I can finally be free.
I really have started to think of it as The Twelve Tasks of the Menopause Along the Path to Freedom. To shed a fertility I never wanted, to shed what patriarchy most valued in my body, to shed all of that. And I am so eager to emerge to freedom.

The likelihood of a woman experiencing domestic violence surges by 35 per cent when she earns more than her male partner, new Australian research has revealed. h/t @maazaland sbs.com.au/news/women-are…
The research, based on more than a decade of de-identified Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) surveys, showed an increase in violence when women out-earned their partners was common across all ages, incomes, education levels, and cultural backgrounds.
Researchers found no impact from earning on the rates of domestic violence or emotional abuse against men.

There was also no change in the experience of physical and emotional abuse if the woman’s earnings increased, but stayed below half of the household income.

"If the bill is enacted it would be the first prohibition of its kind in the US, opponents say. The bill would prohibit doctors from providing gender confirming hormone treatment or surgery to minors, or from referring them to other providers for the treatment."
It also allows private insurers to refuse to cover gender-affirming care for trans people of any age.

The legislation restricts treatments that have been endorsed by major medical associations and human rights groups."
